Ate here twice during our stay as we found the location convenient, price super affordable & the food was really nice. Our first time there we really enjoyed our visit, food was good, service was abit slow however it was quite busy so I could understand. We ordered the spring rolls and chicken wings for starters which we loved. For our mains me and my partner both had the curries expect mine was veg & his chicken. These were 10/10, such amazing flavours. We came again the following night, this time ordering fries, veggie nasi goreng & my partner ordering the pork belly (i believe). The service was SO slow, our fries came out when our drinks did which was 10-15mins. The fries were freezing cold so sent back. After a further 15mins mains came out and then shortly after the fries. The fries now hot were so nice, came with lovely dipping sauces. My partner really enjoyed his main, however my tempe/tofu satay sticks were freezing cold, told my server who was going to get them re made however i don’t think it’s fair to wait for the rest of my food to go cold waiting for them to be remade considering how slow the service has already been, however the rest of the food on my plate was nice. When going to pay for the bill the lady asked how our food was, we told her the situation, she said something to her manager and then just said the most insincere apology. Why ask how our food was if you don’t want the honest truth. Considering all the issues we had, and being repeat customers, no discount or anything was offered. Overall the food is nice however just be careful as the service is...
Read moreNikuna Warung & Art Gallery feels like stumbling into a friend’s home that just happens to serve terrific food and exhibit vibrant local art. Set a few minutes away from Ubud’s busier lanes, the two‑storey space blends rustic wood, colourful canvases and a breeze‑cooled terrace overlooking greenery, creating a calm pocket of inspiration.
Food that comforts and surprises. The kitchen sticks to Balinese roots while adding playful touches. Fragrant with scents and freshly toasted coconut. Vegetarians aren’t an afterthought too. Portions are generous but not overwhelming, so you leave satisfied rather than stuffed.
Art in every corner. The art isn’t just wall dressing—it frames the meal in local stories and offers something to ponder while you sip your beverage.
Service with genuine warmth.Staff greet you like they’ve been expecting you all day. They gladly explain unfamiliar dishes, adjust spice levels and recommend personal favourites without upselling. Even when the place fills up, service stays unhurried and attentive. Nikuna isn’t about slick décor or experimental cuisine. It’s about honest cooking, fair prices and the sense that someone poured their heart into both the plate and the canvas.
