Chocolate is one of my many favorite delicacies in our world. I decided to go to this place with my family on holiday to try these many kinds of local chocolates.
My fave one is Orange chocolate because it's bittersweet and sour, these combinations are mesmerizing on my mouth and kind of extraordinary compared with normal chocolate.
This place sells other than chocolate, so if you want to bring souvenirs, you can bring either their chocolate or the local cloth with Batik motifs. Not only that, you can chill out here with your family or friends, because this place is comfy and has an authentic ambience.
You can enjoy the chocolate or order some snacks, cakes, or desserts while you sit down indoors or you can enjoy the gelatos while you sit outdoors. The price is kinda expensive indeed, but it's equal with their quality and taste.
The chocolate prices start from more than Rp 30.000+ (small size) Rp 50.000+ (regular and large). They even have chocolate bundle which contain many different flavours of choco on pack or limited edition choco with unique shapes. Next is the drink, well its good, I ordered Dark Choco Iced Chocolate and the taste was good enough for local brand. And it's not too expensive so like most normal restaurant the price is about Rp 35.000 or more for each glass.
I also tried their brussels waffle and gelato, these on is quite good but the portion is too small, the price is about Rp 50.000, so it's kinda expensive. The last one I will review is gelato, somehow it's too sweet for me but luckily the flavour is strong so I still can enjoy it, the price for gelato starts from Rp. 24.000 depends on how many scoops...
Read moreone of the cafes and chocolate souvenirs in Jogja. The location is on the left side after Periplus. As a local resident, this is my first time here to accompany a friend from out of town. There is sufficient car parking for around 3-4 cars. Chocolate is available with various levels and variations in taste, from 33% to 100% are available. Apart from that, they also sell foods and beverages. There are gelato, hot chocolate, iced chocolate, telang, pancakes, quiche, cake, tart, and others.
I tried ice chocolate with 77% and beef mushroom quiche. Surprisingly both of them are great! Ice dark chocolate is not top sweet, there is some bitter taste because of high level of dark chocolate. Also beef mushroom quiche. Medium size, soft inside, savoury with sour-salad and sambal. The quiche is top-notch if they not put sambal beside them. I don't get it, like the quiche and sambal didn't match overall 😅 maybe for fusion concept. but for me, sambal ruins the dish. But overall I like this place. I will come here...
Read moreDefinitely the best place to go in Jogja when you're craving for some chocolate😋 They sell a variety of chocolate bars and desserts and so far none of them disappoints. I really loved their hot dark chocolate that came with different percentages of cocoa — 58% to 100% (yes you heard that right. I've tried their 77% and 86% and I love both- thick, creamy, very chocolate-y with different levels of bitterness.
The place is not too big but very cozy with a few seating areas indoor and outdoor. They sell gelato but I have never tried them. Price is fair, 25k for a glass of hot chocolate, 50k for a medium-sized chocolate bars (which came in various flavors).
The staffs are nice and helpful but I think they might need a bit of more help during peak hours.
Oh I just love it here! Will surely come back the next time I...
