recently visited Angelina and was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The charming outdoor seating area by the canal immediately caught my attention. One of the standout aspects of Angelina is their thoughtfully curated menu. Unlike many establishments with extensive selections, Angelina keeps their menu concise yet satisfyingly hearty. I appreciated the focused approach, as it indicated a dedication to perfecting their offerings. The limited options didn't feel restrictive but rather showcased the establishment's commitment to quality. The Angelina's Breakfast was a true revelation. It featured a unique twist with a maple-glazed pork belly, a choice I had never encountered for breakfast before. The pork belly was succulent, juicy, and practically melted in my mouth. The portion size was generous, ensuring a satisfying meal that left me feeling content. It was a harmonious blend of flavors that showcased the culinary expertise of the kitchen. I also ordered a mocha, which was nothing short of delightful. The rich, creamy coffee paired perfectly with the morning meal, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. I highly recommend Angelina for brunch, as the combination of the picturesque outdoor seating, limited yet exceptional menu, and outstanding dishes make it a memorable dining destination. The overall experience left me with no hesitation in awarding it a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. While I had the opportunity to indulge in the breakfast menu, I am eager to return and explore the lunch and dinner options. Based on my experience, I have no doubt that the quality and dedication to excellence will continue to shine through in these menus as well. If you're in search of a brunch spot that offers a delightful ambiance, expertly crafted dishes, and a memorable dining experience, Angelina is a must-visit destination.

Had lunch here recently and had high hopes based on reviews. The restaurant itself is comfortable and nicely designed. The menu is a bit of a mishmash of foods but leaning obviously on Italian. Ordered tempura prawns for a starter and they were fine but the accompanying sauce was like a generic taco one with a few sliced chilli's over it,lazy and unimaginative presentation and taste. Rib-eye steak was next and this came with a tomato ragu on top which is an odd combination. The ragu had a large piece of tomato pith inside that the chef hadn't bothered to remove. The steak was under seasoned And forgettable. Fries were oily and not crisp. Pepper corn sauce was thin and watery and yet again lacking flavour. Also ordered a Italian sausage pizza Which had a nice base but very little in the way of toppings. Angelina's pitches itself as a higher end restaurant but sadly fails to deliver. The food is bog standard and completely overpriced. The lack of thought and passion from the kitchen is evident in every dish, boring under seasoned food , lazily presented . I would not eat here again. I'm glad that you have passed on the review to your staff and as you have said you dropped the ball on this one, you might check my most recent review of featherblade restaurant to see the comparison between average food and service vs a brilliant memorable restaurant experience.

I was here with a large group, they split us over two tables which caused a lot of problems when it came to paying as 2 sets of service charges. We had to have a set menu as we were a large group at €50 a head plus a 12.5% service charge. The set menu on the night was disappointing as some of pur guests were looking forward to having the pizza. We were waiting a long rime between starters and main although not everyone got servered at the same time the waiter who broight the food barked at us like he was a teacher. And when dessert came only half the table recieved theres and the brownies looked like they had been dropped as when the other half of the table got theirs it was a whole brownie. I got the pate which was displayed very strangely covered with the bread, I ordered the rib eye rare when it eventually came thee wrong sauce was on the side when I enquired the same waiter just dismissed me. The steak was medium and so fatty. For dessert I got apple crumble was lovely and watm could have dpne with more crumble. Our orginal waiter was a lovely girl who helped greatly when it came to paying the bill in sections. They do charge €5 for a bottle of water you must ask for tap.

Went here on Saturday night at 7pm. We where seated right away. On first impressions we thought the vibe was very nice. Our waitress came and took our order. We thought first she was a little but rude, but said maybe she’s just really busy. (Although no excuse). We ordered drinks. Then our starters and mains. Both arrived in a timely manner and food was very delicious. The reason for my two start review was the service we received after our main course. When our waitress came to clear our plates at 8:50 she abruptly told us we need to leave the table by 9pm as they had another booking. We where not offered desserts menus or tea or coffee. Just that we needed to leave. We felt a little shocked at this request as it was never noted to us on arrival and we where all looking forward to our desserts. We felt embarrassed and shocked so asked for the bill. When the bill arrived our waitress apologised as she could see how shocked we where at her request and that we where not happy. She said we can have dessert but would need to be gone if the next table came in. At this stage it was 9:12pm. We asked could we have desserts to takeaway and where told yes. Then our waitress said, let me check with my manager again. She “allowed” us to stay for dessert. By the time we eventually got our new bill. It was 9:50pm. We enjoyed the food. But the service and the way we where treated was not very appetising. There was a whole hour of going back and forth, saying we had to leave we can stay etc. Which made us uncomfortable and wasted ours and the restaurants time. For this reason I would not recommend or come back. as Saturday night evening dinner without restrictions I would expect to be relaxed and enjoyable. To which our experience at angelinas...

The food was amazing it was a pity that the manager Nick made the start of our night so awkward and created a horrible atmosphere. My boyfriend and I tried to order drinks and got refused as we didn’t have ID with us. Both of us had pictures on our phone which you could clearly see it is us. The manager refused to even take a look at the picture wasn’t accommodating and very cheeky. I understand by law you if you look young he is allowed to ask for ID he didn’t explain anything just refused straight away. As a manager it is in your profession to explain to the customer why your taking the actions all I got was nothing I can do and a laugh. In turn I had to get a taxi back to my house and get my boyfriend and Is IDs which was the exact same as the pictures we had on our phone. As I walked in i was greeted with a “oh here you are” and a cheeky smirk on his face as if it wasn’t annoying enough that I had to get a taxi to my house and back again to the restaurant. There was no apology no explanation no professionalism. He could of at least explained himself. I would pick wisely who you chose to manage your restaurant the manager creates the atmosphere in your restaurant. As I said before I understand by law he has a right to ask for ID and if it isn’t presented he has a right not to sell alcohol it was his attitude and the lack explanation. The waiter apologised so many and it isn’t even her job to. He didn’t care in the slightest the journey I had to make. An apology would...
