Went to a friends 30th last night. Nice bar with a great selection of drinks and the pizzas are amazing. While sitting at the table one of the bar staff came over with two espresso martinis. I paid little attention as i was drinking pints. A short time later the same member of staff came over and began to aggresively acost my friend and I. She demanded that we pay for the drinks that we had nothing to do with. She told us she had brought them to the wrong table and that the customers that ordered them were unhappy. How this had anything to do with us is unclear to me. We declined as you would expect due to the fact we had neither ordered nor were drinking espresso martinis. When the staff member asked if she should check the cameras we both agreed that would be a good idea. She then stormed off telling us she was going to get security. When the bouncer came over he was upfront with telling us the bar needed the money for the drinks. We tried in vain to explain we hadn't ordered the drinks and if somebody sitting close to us had drank them its not our responsibility to pay. He was having none of our arguements and on more than one occasion asked us outside. He then proceeded to tell me that if the bill wasn't paid he would have no qualms about throwing myself, my friend and the whole 30th birthday party out. To keep the peace and because it was my friends party i went to the bar and paid the tab of €24. This is totally unacceptable behaviour expecting clients to pay others bills especially considering it was the bar staff members mistake and had nothing to do with myself or my...
Read moreBeen a few times recently for the pizza.
The first few times the food was pretty good and the staff was nice and relatively attentive. We live outside the city, and so it's a nice place to grab a bite on the way home from time to time.
But am not sure we'll go again after the last visit.
I'm not sure if management has changed, or what, but on our last visit we were aggressively up sold.
First the waiter tried to force us to by 'dips' for the pizza. Then they tried to force us to by drinks.
Bear in mind, we're ordering take away. We're driving. And my partner is on meds which don't mix with alcohol.
We said no, but maybe a water for while we wait.
The waiter said, 'they'll kill me if I put through an order without drinks'.
Wait, what?
Two pizzas with a side order of guilt?
How is that our responsibility?
If the management is really that onerous I'd rather not give them my money. If they staff is on some sort of bonus system that pushes them to guilt customer and up sell things we don't need, I'd rather not give them my money.
30+ euro for cheese and bread and a few topping should be enough.

I have been going to Bonobo since they opened in 2019. In 2023 I asked a girl out for a date there. When we went in, the place was packed as it usually is, so the only available seat was a love seat tucked away in a corner. We sat there at 9pm and talked and drank until they closed, that love seat would have broken all the ice if there had been any. Two months ago I went into Bonobo asking to purchase/rent or whatever they could offer for that loveseat. The manager Aaron, was extremely helpful, he told me that the loveseat I was looking for was no longer there and had been replaced. However he assured me that he would do everything he could to locate the loveseat and sort out a deal. This took him only 8 days. He found it in storage. I went to pick it up, I brought it home, and I proposed to my girlfriend on that loveseat. And now thanks to the amazing work of Aaron and his colleagues my fiance and I have our first piece of furniture for our home. We will be spending all anniversaries, birthdays, and any good times we have in Bonobo, having their incredible cocktails and eating...
