This restaurant is great and experience may vary each time. Since there's so much good written to already, I'm going to focus more on the things that we didn't like. Sorry for this, Pearl.

It's Late August bit nippy outside. We walk in to our reserved cave type romantic private room for two. My wife has this sexy short dress on with bare shoulders and arms. She is shivering straight away. I'm in a suit and also feel the cold. So we asked to be sat in the main are which was warmer (normal room temperature). They were kind to let us resit at the separated table by the aquarium (very cool table, recommend over the cave).

Food was hit or miss. Squab pigeon was debatable. I loved it, but my wife had to spit it out. But she would be fussy on food in general. Then there was a fish dish that was bland and actually had bad taste for both of us. Fish also came in a bowl, which was bit weird to eat from for a main course dish.

Cocktail margarita was very watery. I had a sip from a straw and it felt 60% water.

Everything else was great. Amazing service, super pleasant staff. Very attentive. If you're not sure about some choices wether it's food or drink, they'll advice you on the spot and give you recommendations.

Pan fried duck foie gras was incredibly delicious. 12/10. Got to try it for the starters.

While making a booking over the phone I had mentioned that it's a wedding anniversary, so after main course we had full bellies and didn't have place for the deserts we asked for a bill, they also brought us a tonk bean créme brulée with the writing on the plate. Was lovely.

Gigas oysters were a first time for me and I was shocked with their taste. It was served with the vinegar and lemon. And get this, those uncooked oysters taste exactly like herring (also uncooked) prepared with the vinegar. If ever want to know how expensive oysters taste, get yourself a herring and put it into the vinegar for some time.

I will try out other fine dining restaurants (like One Pico) in Dublin before coming back here. It's hard to imagine that a restaurant of this class can offer food or beverage that is not tasteful (which can be argued from person to...

Me and my team had a Christmas dinner for nine people at this restaurant. Set menu of modern French cuisine. The dishes were very tasty, although the portions, I must point out, were quite small. We ordered a lot of cocktails, both smaller and bigger. The waiters were very attentive and often came to ask if they could pour more water or bring something else. However, our time in the restaurant was very limited; our reservation was from 18 to 20, and it seemed that it was not a minute longer. Just before 20, we settled the bill. One of our colleagues was still halfway through her drink (a nutcracker) when she suddenly noticed a small green worm crawling on the stem of mint, which decorated her cocktail. We immediately reported it to the waiter, who was still clearing our table; he went with it to what seemed to be the manager of the room. As soon as she appeared, she apologised, saying that such negligence had occurred and that it would never happen again. My colleague never saw her drink again, and we were asked to vacate the place for the next guests of the restaurant. In our opinion, two things are worth noting. The first is the neglect of sanitary standards in the kitchen, where all vegetables, fruits, and herbs should be carefully washed. And the second is the bad manners of the person who is the face of the restaurant; we were rushed as soon as we paid, our colleague was not offered to make a new drink (she left more than half in the glass), or anything beyond the words 'that it will never happen again', unfortunately, we will not witness it, because no one from my company intends to go back there. PS. I wrote an email right after the dinner, to the person I had contact with before, but there was no response and waited a few days with this review. We paid for the meal; that's the most important thing for them. After that, our complaints landed...

n the heart of Dublin, there's a culinary gem that stands out as the city's best brasserie. From the moment you step through its doors, you're greeted with an ambiance that exudes elegance and charm. The beautiful decor, a blend of classic and contemporary styles, sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The warm, welcoming atmosphere is the first hint that you're in for something special. What truly makes this brasserie exceptional is the food. Every dish is a masterpiece, a symphony of flavors that dances on your palate. The menu is a testament to the culinary artistry of the chefs, offering a diverse range of dishes that cater to every taste. Whether you're a fan of classic brasserie fare or more adventurous in your culinary preferences, this place has something to please everyone. The staff here are not just attentive; they are genuinely passionate about ensuring your dining experience is nothing short of perfect. They're always ready with a friendly smile, making you feel right at home. Moreover, the value for money you get here is remarkable. Despite the top-notch quality of the food, the prices are incredibly reasonable. You'll leave with a sense of satisfaction, knowing you've enjoyed a sumptuous meal without breaking the bank. To complement the delectable dishes, their wine selection is a wine lover's dream. From bold reds to crisp whites, the variety is exceptional, and the sommeliers are more than happy to guide you in choosing the perfect pairing for your meal. In summary, this brasserie is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. The combination of amazing food, dedicated staff, beautiful decor, great value for money, and an extensive wine list makes it an unparalleled dining destination in Dublin. When you visit, you're in for a splendid culinary journey that will leave you craving a return visit.

Why I gave one star: The food does not taste good. I don’t see the point of going there, dishes are delicately presented but why not spending more time on providing better taste? Tuna and avocado can be a good match but the portion made it tasted greasy, if the dressing can be more into the dish it could be better balanced. The companion sorbet does not solve the problem that tuna tastes too fishy, because the ice made the fish oil condense and thus no aroma, only fishing rod. Main I had is pan fried sea bream with white coco beans and veg. Such a disappointment! It tastes like chef poured all salt sticking they have in kitchen on the fish! Too salty, really a letdown. White coco beans just taste like normal beans, which could’ve been a nice compliment to the protein but because of too much salt it became a disaster, I couldn’t finish even one third of the dish. Wasting food made me feel guilty but I already reached my physical limit, I sigh to myself and fortunately I didn’t order the tasting menu, otherwise it would be such a waste. When I frankly told the staff about my feeling and suggest them not to put so much salt into food, keep the origin taste of the food and if guests want to add more flavor they can use salt and pepper(if placed on the table). Staff asked whether I want the kitchen to re-prepare the dish for me, definitely no, my stomachs was hurt and no room for a new one. I already paid for my service for a premium, so I don’t need to be grateful for the service. Venue is graceful, but I go to restaurant is for food. If for venue, I can go to beautiful venues, gardens, courts, castles, many other beautiful venues in Dublin.
