Arrive in Dublin on Sunday and what do you do? Have a drink in a few bars maybe? Toners was one such place. A bit of an Irish institution. Crazily busy but still found a table. On the surface it’s mad. But boy is it well run. Table service works brilliantly so no waiting. Nice pint or two of Guinness ( read the sign) Smithies red ale was also a great pint. Nice music going on and a wonderful atmosphere. Would I go back? You bet I would 😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇮🇳 Recommended 😁

We recently rented out the event space upstairs for a 30th Birthday. The set up, atmosphere, and staff could not have been better. Lots of space and seating with a really lovley layout. Jazz the bartender was so accommodating and friendly which was not only noticed by us, but by others at the party. It was so special to have a space and bar to ourselves. Thanks again!

Amazing outdoor area during COVID-19, felt very very safe, all booths are very large for a group of people and adequately protected with screens in place. Service was brilliant, never saw the bottom of my Guinness glass, reasonable too for whereabouts in the city centre this place is. I think they were serving pizzas. One of the city’s best pubs for a good night out

I used to love this pub! I've been coming here for 8 years as I work in the vicinity

But recently had an unpleasant experience The guy in charge of seating people is incredible rude My friend and I sat in an unreserved table we must have been sitting there for about 2 minutes before he came charging over (chewing gum ) and extremely rudely told us to move, he said the table was reserved (no signage) and said there was a large group ahead of us who needed it (I didn't see any group), it wasn't that busy but most tables were full. He said we could sit downstairs in the lounge, I explained we wanted to sit outside and he sort of shrugged in a not my problem sort of way. I can't even convey the manner in which he spoke to us but it was so beyond tude. We promptly left and went to mc grattans( where they are always much nicer. )Post pandemic you'd think people would welcome customers but I felt extremely unwelcome here. Mind you we understood his point and if he had asked nicely we would have been more than happy to oblige. The interaction felt strange and aggressive. We both felt a bit shook after. Needless to say I won't be...

So this is a review of two halves.

We (group of 3) met up in olde world bar and rested our coats on a barstool. We were then told by an old bartender we couldn't have chairs or barstools where we were standing. We put the barstool back and ordered another round. Shortly afterward another bartender (tattoos on the inside of her right arm) told us we could stand where we were standing and we should go upstairs or the beer garden. We looked at each other thinking why on earth hadn't they told us that in the first place or even put a sign up!!

So we wandered off to the beer garden and sipped some more Guinness!

Beer garden - really smoking area - was fairly large. You could see the place being electric when a big sports event was on the screens.

On a humorous side, if you look up at the ceiling you will realize pidegons and other feathered birds are not welcome !!

Toilets were immaculate and the water was hot but not too to utilize.

So the Guinness war good, but the initial messing on the olde world bar took the edge of the early...

If you’re after the best pint of Guinness in Dublin, Toners Pub is a must-visit. This iconic pub, nestled on Baggot Street, effortlessly blends traditional charm with an authentic Dublin atmosphere. Known for its classic, wood-paneled interiors and cozy snugs, Toners has been a staple of the city’s pub scene for over two centuries.

The Guinness here is exceptional—perfectly poured, creamy, and smooth with just the right balance of flavors. It’s clear that the bartenders take pride in crafting the perfect pint, which makes it stand out among the many pubs in Dublin. You’ll often hear locals claim it as the best pint in the city, and after a visit, it’s hard to disagree.

The outdoor beer garden offers a great spot to enjoy your drink, whether you’re there in the afternoon or late into the evening. The crowd is always friendly and welcoming, making Toners feel like a true local experience.

In short, if you’re on the hunt for an unforgettable Guinness in Dublin, Toners should be at the top...
