We stayed a total of 3 nights at this hotel, we had 2 separate bookings as we unexpectedly had to stay the 3rd night so we had 2 different rooms during our stay.

On arrival the staff in reception were absolutely fantastic, so welcoming (this was the best experience and it slowly went downhill from here) and took our bags as we were in the hotel way before check in, we were told to come back at 1pm to see if the rooms might be ready. We did this and on our return the staff had changed and we were told the rooms were ready, but just before she gave us our keys she said oh and that’s €10 extra - which was unexpected and not mentioned at all before this, we declined the offer as it’s meant to be a budget hotel and good value and adding another €10 on for an hour extra in the rooms seems ridiculous.

Once checked in our room was satisfactory, barely had any coffee in the room and the floor all around the room was filthy, hair and dust all over. Our bathroom had a bath/ shower combo and the curtain was discoloured and smelt musty, especially after it had been wet from our shower it smelt particularly rancid.

On our check out we asked to leave our bags again as we had really appreciated this on check in day, and the staff member (presume he was a manager as he wasn’t wearing any purple uniform - just his own black shirt and trousers) said that we would have to leave a charity donation, and that we could leave it on the card machine? I honestly thought this suggestion was so unprofessional and shocked me as firstly where is my donation on the card machine actually going and secondly this had never been mentioned beforehand. I did put some change into the pot but I have never been pressured to donate to charity before, it seemed like it was just this particular member of staff really pushing for this and it’s definitely not a premier inn standard, I heard him do it to multiple couples.

As we stayed an extra night that evening we checked back in again with a lovely member of the team on a night shift, she was super helpful. We had a completely different room, this one the floor was much cleaner but unfortunately the shower curtain was again absolutely rancid, stained and smelt like mould.

We had a breakfast before we left to catch our flight and the staff member who was on breakfast was potentially one of the rudest people I’ve ever been served by, the customer service in this hotel is genuinely something that needs working on.

You book a premier inn because it’s good value and you know what to expect, this hotel doesn’t measure up to the usual premier inn standards, to say it’s very new it was filthy in places, I don’t think I would stay here again and only rebooked as our bags were already in the hotel and the hotel is so far out of the city it was a convenience for us to just come back.

Expect to walk 20/25 mins to the city, the Guinness storehouse is again about 20 min walk. The liberties area has a rough feel to it, but actually has some decent bars and coffee...

We stayed at this hotel on Friday 27th of June in room 305 with my husband and two girls. On entering the room the room smelled stale. This room was provided at short notice after our original room only had three beds and the lady on check in was rushing round trying to find a bigger room for us. I think they gave us an unclean room as they were busy. The next morning my husband had bite marks on his legs and when getting back into bed after breakfast my husband pulled the sheet out from underneath the mattress and seen that the sheet had a very old crusted stain of which was tucked into the bed/ mattress. This was unacceptable and a serious health and safety breach as we possibly slept on someone else’s bodily fluids. After three weeks of emailing customer service we got this reply from premier inn:

I am sorry that you are not happy with the resolution offered in the initial reply to you and have asked for this to be reviewed further. To re-cap on your original case and I can see that you did not enjoy your stay due to your husband being bitten and the bed sheets stained, I can understand the frustration this may have caused and for this, I am sorry. Following your stay we instructed a third-party inspector to investigate and they confirmed that no bed bugs were present in the room. Though I understand following your stay you have experienced further irritation from this, we must advise as the rooms conditions have been confirmed to be clear, it is not possible to conclude this is a reaction caused from using our room. Whilst I empathise and understand the reason behind your contact regarding the linen, we do ask that you report any issues at the time of occurrence so that the team has the opportunity to resolve the issue. You have advised that you reported this in the morning however, the team was then unable to resolve anything at that point. I can confirm this has been reviewed by a manager and we believe the goodwill gesture refund was fair and reasonable and we will not offer a full refund on this occasion and I do apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. End of email.

I feel very badly let down by premier inn. Anyone can see from the photo that it was an old crusty stain not a new or fresh one. We also did in fact report these issues to the hotel that morning on discovery of the dirty tucked in sheet and the bite marks. On ringing customer relations this morning, Premier inn customer service manager Ryan then told me that the sheet was changed but possibly the stain was not washed out. Ryan could also not tell me what third party business inspected the room for bed bugs. I definitely smell a rat or a bed bug. Very poor after care from premier inn. To only offer a part refund never mind compensation and then to put blame on me....

Came here for a long weekend, i am totally satisfied with the service to say the least. Firstly we had a significant flight delay so we called up to explain and theg was very understanding and made a note so our room didn’t get marked as ‘non arrival’. When we arrived it was 1:30am and yet we was met with the most pleasant staff and amazing customer service. we stayed in an accessible room as one of us have additional needs and need accommodations. On arrival the room was more than expected and had all the safety features required for an adaptive room with a pressing alarm bed side, a pull alarm bed side, walk in shower with hand rails all over the bathroom, lowered sink and the option to have a rubber mat! All amazing facilities and perfect for the requirements we have. The next morning we was greeted again with friendly service and happy customer service, breakfast was just the right amount and what is needed for us in particular. One of us have additional allergy needs which makes accomating food and eating difficult however there was enough food options to met our needs. We then approached the staff about the places we wanted to visit and they was happy to point us in the right directions how to get us there and even ordered taxis for us (Glen i believe his name was) he recommended a brilliant irish traditional evening which we particularly asked and wanted and it was amazing. (So thank you for the recommendation). The next day we used the hop on and hop off bus and again given the location of the hotel it stopped directly outside was perfect we was able to explore the city knowing we had a way of getting back to the hotel not solely relying on cabs and yet still seeing and exploring the city perfect location. Also located very close to the city centre was nice also. We also used the restaurant one evening and again was highly accommodating to dietary requirements and allergies making sure it was met. The staff again was attentive, smiley and happy to help. It never felt like at any time we was to much. I recommend the meal deal which is two courses and a drink and the option to add breakfast as this is definitely more worth your money. We have to say that we are both extremely happy with our stay at this hotel and if we was to come back to Dublin we would definitely come back, staff was attentive, friendly and just amazing. The room was excellent and what was requested and required for our needs and location was definitely an...

We arrived early and went to the hotel. Richard checked us in and was very nice and explained about the property and the area. We accepted a 10 pound early checkin fee to get into the room and then go explore the city. We started to notice things weren't finished after we came back from exploring. I took a shower and water leaked through the front tile and glass and ended up all over the floor. The shower setup also is a half door and open in the back so water splashes off your body and soaks the towel on the floor. I wouldn't be surprised if in the future the carpet started to smell or get moldy. After my shower I called the front desk and someone came up and looked at it. They said they would talk to their manager and they would call me. I received a call about 5 minutes later and am told I needed to move rooms. At this point I'm not happy because I am in my sleeping clothes and I now have to pack up everything and move to a new room on a new floor. I was assured by the front office manager that she checked the new room and everything was perfect. I asked to see the room before and I felt like she was arguing with me and questioned why I needed to see it. Suffice to say this new room that was "perfect" and checked by her standards was not perfect, but worse. In this room the door lock was loose and the bolts were coming out the back and the bed had a burn mark on the sheet. I went back down and informed the manger the issues and she came back up with an allen key to tighten the lock. At no point, I felt she tried to do any service recovery. I felt she was a cold person without compassion for her guests. Around the property one of the two elevator/lift were broken and stuck on the 4th floor. The vending machine in the lobby was restocked earlier in the day but was out of service by the end of it. Overall this hotel is a mixed bag of apples with some good qualities as well as some bad ones.
