If you want to experience hateful discriminatory slurs and bigotry for being different, Ryanâs is the place for you.
The bouncer had no issues with my Irish friends going in, however, once the bouncer âguessedâ I was Polish and I showed him my ID, a series of unpleasant comments were passed about where Iâm from and what I was wearing (a top, vest and jeans accessorised with chains).
I felt threatened and unsafe, and frankly shocked at the hatred I experienced for simply not being from Ireland (despite living here most of my life) and looking different.
All other surrounding bars like Devitts and Crafty Fox were welcoming and had no issues with my nationality. I would suggest to anyone researching bars around Camden street, to take your money to places that celebrate people from various cultural backgrounds and forms of...

Despite how quite the place was, it took twenty minutes for our food to arrive and when it did, the fish was overcooked to the point of being burnt and inedible. It had to go back. The lamb stew was very lacklustre, not to my liking. There was nothing wrong with it; I just didn't enjoy it. As our time was limited, there was no chance to get the fish replaced so we left unsatisfied and...

The only way I could go in and close the door was in reverse. Even then I had to squeeze sideways in order to close the door. Very disappointing. Used to be one of the most accessible pubs. Not any more. The entrances were always difficult because of the step and narrow footpath. The food and drink and customer service is as good as ever even if the menu has been trimmed back due to the drop in footfall from offices in the area but you can't fault them for that. The toilets need a rethink but it definitely would not put me off going back as it's manageable with a...
