If you want to experience hateful discriminatory slurs and bigotry for being different, Ryan’s is the place for you.

The bouncer had no issues with my Irish friends going in, however, once the bouncer “guessed” I was Polish and I showed him my ID, a series of unpleasant comments were passed about where I’m from and what I was wearing (a top, vest and jeans accessorised with chains).

I felt threatened and unsafe, and frankly shocked at the hatred I experienced for simply not being from Ireland (despite living here most of my life) and looking different.

All other surrounding bars like Devitts and Crafty Fox were welcoming and had no issues with my nationality. I would suggest to anyone researching bars around Camden street, to take your money to places that celebrate people from various cultural backgrounds and forms of...

Very disappointing visit to Ryan's: lovely pub with friendly staff, that's the good part. A lunchtime visit here was not a great experience (August 2022). Arriving shortly after 1.00pm, I expected the place to be busy but it was almost empty, with only about three tables occupied. My companion and I ordered lunch; fish and chips for her, lamb stew for me. Despite how quite the place was, it took twenty minutes for our food to arrive and when it did, the fish was overcooked to the point of being burnt and inedible. It had to go back. The lamb stew was very lacklustre, not to my liking. There was nothing wrong with it; I just didn't enjoy it. As our time was limited, there was no chance to get the fish replaced so we left unsatisfied and...

Had not been in for some time until recently. Disappointed to find that renovations had rendered the once perfectly accessible disabled toilets barely accessible. The only way I could go in and close the door was in reverse. Even then I had to squeeze sideways in order to close the door. Very disappointing. Used to be one of the most accessible pubs. Not any more. The entrances were always difficult because of the step and narrow footpath. The food and drink and customer service is as good as ever even if the menu has been trimmed back due to the drop in footfall from offices in the area but you can't fault them for that. The toilets need a rethink but it definitely would not put me off going back as it's manageable with a...

Lovely little Irish pub that kept the spirit of what my local used to be. Just 5min walk from the Spire, just don't mind the surrounding neighbors from both the good and the bad :) it's the beauty of it all here in Dublin, just turn the corner and you walk into another world that never knew was there, amazing. Good relaxing vibes, lovely and super friendly staff. A must pit stop point before heading out to the airport by bus (41)

Couldn't recommend this pub more, it was lovely inside looks wise, very pretty and the service was unparalleled, 2 so nice older gents, were working and looked after us brilliantly, even when I stupidly knocked my pint over they came right over and cleaned it up In a flash. Food was top notch too, I had the Irish stew which finished off my Dublin trip perfectly.
