The Hotel Staff where fine, but the actual Room was awful. There where frayed wires coming out of a plug, there were cigarette butts outside the window, the Bathroom was tiny and you could barely lock it, it couldn't be closed without locking otherwise it would just open (see picture). There was blood on the duvet which wasn't cleaned during the stay, and there was a dirty sock in the room the entire time. It was also not quiet, we where in the room across from the cleaners closet and could hear everything for hours in the morning. Its also above a bar so there was singing going on until about 1 in the morning every night. The mattress was really uncomfortable so I could barely sleep. Overall a terrible experience. You are definitely only paying for the location.

We chose this place because it was central due to my walking difficulties. We were put on 4th floor with no lift which was a struggle. The room was functional but the plug extension didn't look safe. However, bed was comfortable and bedding smelt lovely so was glad of a clean bed. Shower wasn't brilliant. Lots of seagull poo on windows but only stayed one night.

The worst hotel ever. No Wi-Fi in the room. Firstly I was told that the issue gonna be fixed. I waited 4 hours, and asked again. The second guy told me he doesn’t know what to do, and he is sorry about that. The room is dirty. The water is black (sometimes) no TV the room. The furniture is very old

Absolutely desperate service. Not withstanding the rude barman with glasses, beard and ponytail behind the bar. He was clearly tired but most of all rude and appeared not to enjoy the job. He Clearly doesn't have the ability or the experience as a bar man to work behind an Irish bar. That said being from Dublin we have frequented the Clifton Court for many years (over 25 yrs) and this by far was an absolute disgrace. Had some food which was under cooked and had some drinks with same. Selection of wine is mini bottles of the worse tasting wine you can think of. After that my wife decided to order a double Bailey's but when I informed the bar tender that i thought his pour was a little short of the actual measurement he replied by saying he wasn't changing it and I could take it or leave it. Of couse i left the some 13 euro drink on the bar. The Bailey's itself was full of ice as i had asked for extra but poured back into the bottle. Having informed him that this was wrong i was pretty much informed that ill see exactly what was going to be done with that Bailey's as he poured it back into bottle. Toilets by the way were fairly smelly, no toilet roll and toilet door had no lock and floors were covered in urine. Tbh while we were there we overhear a conversation with another couple (clearly Dublin Folk) making a simple complaint but it ended up leaving them with what I can only describe as lots of frustration. Again it looked like anything they had to say was falling on deaf ears. Wasn't sure but I wondered was it language barrier with staff. I will be avoiding for a long time unfortunately. Absolute failure in quality and standards as there is much better restaurants and bars only two minutes away and are basically miles ahead of the Clifton. Sorry guys but you really need to do much much better. Sad to say but no proper bar manager or staff here which I belive is big no no in the industry that you...

Stay away from this place!

I arrived Tuesday evening, at the check in the receptionist, before even said Hi, charged me for the stay. Then he gave me the keys to the room. When I opened the door to my ''single room'', the room was dirty and someone was living there. When I came back, to the receptionist and shared him update, he told me, that '' probably '' the room is not ready for me, then I was waiting 1 hour to find a solution. The solution was me to sleep in other room (room for 4 people) on the other side, than I booked. The new room was also dirty, with no option to open the window with dirty bathroom and only cold water, no heating in the room! The WiFi didn't work, I checked on Iphone, Android, laptop. When I came to the receptionist, he showed me his mobile with Chinese menu and pretending, that it's working and everything is fine. When I ask him what I should to, he is answering: I don't know.

I asked him that I want to talk to manager, he told me come next day at 9 am. I came next day and the receptionist told me that the manager is late. I came back 30 mins later and the another receptionist told me that the manager is not working today. When I came back next day was different version (Manager is at lunch, is on the meeting, also not working). Till end of my stay, unfortunately I didn't speak the manager of the hotel. The internet was not working all the time and I used...
