Lovely pub, great interior , cosy and spotless toilets. I ordered food here before and it never fails. My wife adores the sea food chowder.

I had a few days off work and was in town so decided to drop in during the day for a few Guonness.

The young man with the beard was very attentive and friendly and dropped my.pints over to.me along with the card machine.

Unfortunately that quality customer service was cancelled out abysmally by his work colleague whom took over while he went on a break.

This gentleman was little on the heavier side, surly with curly hair on top. Reminded.me a lot of Seth Rogan. I politely asked for another Guinness from.my bench which was directly opposite the bar. A mere few feet away.

Seth grumpily acknowledged my request. He pulled the pint and left it to settle on the bar. He then plonked the contactless debit card machine next to it.

No eye contact, no communication, no pleasantries..nothing. I went up and paid by card and brought my.pint back to me seat.

A really poor and unwelcoming experience. Furthermore, he spent most of his time chattimg to.one of the regulars at the bar. There was no effort to engage with other customers. For that reason alone I will not be returning to this pub while he is behind the bar.

Again, I cannot fault the other barman however.

He was thoroughly professional , friendly and helpful...

Found this hidden gem on our last day visiting Dublin , wish we would have come across it sooner. I can honestly say this was a gorgeous place to eat & drink. The staff are very friendly & helpful as one gentleman behind the bar provided us with some useful information in regards to local transport. It’s such cosy traditional pub with a warm homely setting yet still had that classy touch to it ( Love the historic pictures & documents placed around the bar - truly adds a wonderful touching effect to the visit) . My friend and I got a Guinness, Irish coffee along with a snack to share I believe was Cajun home made chips with fried chicken?…. Wow!! the standard of this food , portions size and overall quality blew me away! Very impressive as it was delicious. Thank you for a great experience at Meaghers...

This is a properly ran cozy traditional Irish bar with some of the nicest pints and tasty food that Dublin has to offer and it’s the reason why it always gets a good crowd, the staff in this bar are very professional at what they do they are so so friendly helpful and trustworthy, they really go out of their way to help and make your time their enjoyable, the atmosphere in this bar is lovely and the customer’s all chat interact and have good fun and crack, it’s a wheelchair and buggy friendly bar and the staff have no problem going out of their way to help out people who may need extra help, when it comes to service it’s top top top quality in this bar and I really love visiting this place time and time again! This bar is a definite must visit, it gets 20 out of 10 from me, even the backing music is...

This pub had the wow factor as far as ambiance, the beautiful wood bar, the tin ceiling, the stain glass windows, the comfy high top tables and bench seating made for a lovely place to have lunch. The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome and appreciated. The food was delicious, ample and reasonably priced. The vegetable soup was creamy, tasty and piping hot. The Honey Chicken & Brie Melt was yummy and gooey with caramelized onion and lovely apple sauce on a fresh crispy Parmesan bread. The Brisket Loaded Fries was a huge portion of tender, delicious spicy brisket over well cooked and seasoned fries. The BBQ pork Sandwich was equally well prepared and delicious. What a great choice for quality food in a beautiful setting.
