I absolutely loved staying at this hotel! I stayed 2 times during my Ireland trip (one 4-night stay and another 2-night stay).

The LOCATION is wonderful. Across the river from Temple Bar area so less noise, but still easy 10-minute walk to very active areas! If you are going to use public transportation from the airport there are many bus stops nearby for an easy walk to the hotel after landing! It was about an hour for me to get from the airport to the hotel based on the bus I got on at the airport.

I highly suggest getting the BREAKFAST! I really enjoyed it and I feel like you would get a similar breakfast for the same cost elsewhere (9€/day). I only had it 3 mornings, but that is just what worked for my schedule and trip. It started at 7:30 am each morning. There was bread for toast, croissants, eggs, bacon, cereals, tea/coffee, jellies, Nutella, and juices available.

I also ate a PIZZA one night after getting back late from a day tour and it was so yummy. I believe the food was available 24 hours/day!

FREE DRINK TICKET can be used on a water! I felt it was a great use for me to have water for my day and appreciated that I was able to get a free water with this!

If you need some cash, there is an ATM next to the elevators. Much better than having to go to a currency exchange location and probably the same cost.

Many reviews stated the BEDS were not comfortable. I will say the beds were firm and pillows also did not have a lot of give. This did not bother me, but I can sleep pretty much anywhere without a complaint. Just know that if you book this hotel those reviews are accurate, and I would not book here if that will be an issue for you. Not a problem for me!

SHOWERS were walk-in and had great pressure and temperature. I also used the shampoo/body wash and conditioner provided by the hotel and I thought it smelled great! Please know there are NO WASH CLOTHES. I brought my own on the trip so this was not an issue, but I do want to let people know!

HOUSEKEEPING cleaned up my room and made the bed everyday for me while I was out each day. It was so nice to come back each evening to a made bed!

OVERALL- book this hotel! I love Marriott hotels and this did not disappoint! I always felt safe and comfortable when I walked in, and the rooms were a wonderful place to crash after a full day...

Booked 2 rooms, both with 2 twins. One room was as booked, but the other was a Queen. I went down to the front desk, and they easily gave me a new room, which they assured was 2 twins. I didn’t have time to go up to the new room because I had an appointment for a covid test (to be able to go back home to Canada). After the test and some shopping, I returned to the hotel, to my second room — it was an accessible room, which isn’t a big deal, but the shower had a chair in it, and I didn’t want to deal with figuring out how to retract it to the wall, after a long day of travel, etc, so I went back to the front desk to ask for a different room. They were unable to give me a room with 2 twins because they were fully booked up. I was annoyed because had they given me the room I’d booked when I first arrived, it wouldn’t have been an issue at that time of the evening. Especially being a Titanium member, I expect to get what I’ve booked, and then some. So I had to sleep in a Queen with my sister, which wasn’t the end of the world, but the bed was terribly uncomfortable and hard. My family in a 2 twin room said the same thing. We all said we would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor. I was really surprised because Marriott mattresses are usually fantastic. The room was VERY clean, which I appreciated because I have a serious phobia of hotel cleanliness. So if I say it was clean, it was immaculate. The bathroom was very small, which is expected in a large city (reminded me of the bathroom of the Marriott brand I stayed in in NY). There was virtually nowhere to put your clothes. There is a rack to hang things, but it only had 2 or 3 hangers. No drawers or tables. I get that it’s supposed to be kitschy, but I don’t know where they expect you to put your stuff; especially in a tourist town. I was also surprised that there was no in-room safe, considering it’s a tourist town. I would have liked a safe in which to put my passport and money. Staff was super nice. Lobby area was new and nicely decorated. I really liked that there was security at the door at night, making sure anyone wanting to enter was actually a guest. Overall, some good, and some bad. I would stay here again simply for the fact that it was so clean, which is most important to me (even if it means sleeping...

Stayed here for a holiday in Dublin, given that it was central to most of the areas of the city I wanted to explore.

Pros: Easy to walk around the area. Bed was pretty comfortable. Bathroom shower (once I figured out how the fixtures worked) was great. Had plenty of plugs for electronics. Hotel looks newer and well maintained. It near a taxi alley, so if you don't want to walk odds are you can get a cab, or take the Luas across the street. I found the front desk staff to be pretty nice, and able to handle random tourist questions easily.

Meh: This is a Moxy, so the rooms are minimalist by design. You will not get a desk, couch, closet, fridge, safe, or other things that regular hotels carry. The rooms are mainly there for you to sleep, shower, keep your stuff, and then not be there. HVAC: Settings are in Celsius, and the system is slow to cool or heat while shutting off every few hours. Housekeeping: While they seem to work around the clock, I had to ask a number of times to get the room cleaned, and it was NEVER vacuumed during my entire stay. They also count the few towels you get, so I had to hide some to make sure I had enough (given you don't get a washcloth or hand towel...just a bath towel, bath mat, and some weird hybrid sized towel that's too big to be a wash cloth or hand towel, and too small to be a bath towel).

Cons: This is a Moxy, so there is very little space to put anything. The lighting layout is not conducive to being useful to light the room. The view, for the most part is of the alley next to the hotel/the new office building next door, at least from the room I was in. While my room was quiet, there were a few times noises from other guests loudly leaked in. There is no clock or wakeup call...you need to do that via the TV, and hope it works. This property has the SLOWEST elevators I've ever seen. Pricing for the room seemed to be a dynamic pricing model, where the room price fluxed WIDELY for no discernible reason, other than it being the weekend.

Overall, if you just need a place to crash, shower, and keep your stuff because you want to be out and about in Dublin, this is a decent option for a low amenity property that isn't going to make you pay for a pool, conference rooms, gym, or anything else you...

The hotel is located in a a very central area of Dublin, on the north side of the river but a short walk to all the interesting areas like temple bar, trinity college, shopping, etc. there is a tram stop right outside the hotel, and lots of restaurants nearby. It is also off the main thoroughfare of O’Connell street and most of the day tours pick up about a 5 min walk from the hotel. The lobby is very hip and cozy for groups to gettogether and the personnel at the reception and bar were wonderful. Young and full of enthusiastic energy. Our room was decently spacious with a comfortable bed and big windows. The bathroom was small, where you’d have to close the bathroom door to be able to get into the shower. The shower is stocked with pumps for soap and shampoo but what’s the deal with it being so high? Us short people should not have to stand on our toes in a shower to access it. Having said all of that, I don’t think the Moxy brand is for me. I was very disappointed with how they’ve designed their “minimalist” rooms. No closet or drawers to put away your stuff for a 5 day stay. No nightstand drawers to keep your chargers. I don’t know how business travelers would get any work done since they do not have a desk. The bathroom had more shelf space than the room. If they truly wanted a minimalistic aesthetic, there were so many opportunities to use space in the room without crowding the area. I absolutely hated the aesthetic in the rooms and would never stay at any Moxy ever again. The “closet” is a grid on the wall where you can hang all your clothes. I’ve seen dorm rooms that had more closet space. I did ask for an extra luggage rack and more hangers just so we had another place to hold our stuff and didn’t have to leave it on the floor.
