Terrible service. Would never buy from Easons again. I ordered and paid for a book over three weeks ago. I still don't have it. I have emailed their customer service repeatedly and each time they send a standard email telling me that my order is complete. The last email I sent requested a refund of my money, as it is clear at this stage that they do not plan on providing me with the book that I purchased from them, but they have not responded to my email. I won't hold my breath waiting for the return of my money. I actually cannot believe how poor their customer service is. Well essentially there is no customer service, just a copied and pasted response saying my order is complete. I will never purchase from them again. It is particularly irritating as I can purchase books cheaper from Book Depository but chose to purchase from Easons to support an Irish company and help keep workers in jobs during the current pandemic. I regret that decision as I now have to purchase the book from Book Depository anyway and Easons are obviously happy to keep/steal the money I gave them for the book they they...

The Irish history section in easons was once the best place to start a conversation with a stranger in the city, make new friends and ignore old ones.

But not anymore. I suggest you get the 83 bus if you want to strike up an intellectual convention with a stranger now a days.

Edit. While waiting for a Dublin match and to avoid the rain, stepping into Easons and bemoaning to my self all the needless change that has happened in this city I gravitated to what was once the history wall, alass it's a section they now promote as 'promotions. But I observed something, something undestructable about Dublin, not it's fads which break easier than the labour party in government negotiations, but it's people who don't care if capital changes the use of something, it's people who still use the history wall as a spot to look out for friendlies. I am now convinced that they could change this building to the Gerald of Wales society for the advancement of wokeness and the defeat of the Gael, and Dubliners would still walk in expecting to randomly meet people they know. Baile...

This is a very large bookshop right in the heart of Dublin City Centre. It has all the bestsellers and a large selection of magazines and newspapers. Upstairs, they have gifts and greeting cards. You can buy art supplies here too, as well as children's arts and crafts kits. While Eason is a great shop, I find that it lacks the charm that you might find at a smaller, independent bookstore. On a recent visit, I found staff friendly and helpful, though sadly they did not stock the item that I was looking for.

This iconic bookstore on O Connell Street has been a local feature for over 130 years, and a feature in my life since I can remember. It offers books, its mainstay, but also newspapers, local and foreign, numerous magazines and comics. Aside from that you can buy gifts, cards, and wrapping paper. If you want art or office supplies you are covered here too. Great store.

Huge store with 4 levels, probably the largest selection of newspapers, magazines and books in the country. They have an adults craft department that has expanded over the years, reasonable selection of wool, patterns, embroidery thread and various bits and bobs, you'll find a large selection of stationary stuff on the same floor, worth exploring!
