Tucker Reilly's — Restaurant in Dublin

My wife & I, part of a party of 10 close friends, yearly event we meet up & celebrate Xmas, we booked the venue well in advance. Food we ordered & paid in full for was cold, partially cooked & not good, majority was not consumed, raised with staff might as well be taking to the wall ! . After the food experience I ordered a round of drinks before heading home, I paid €190 with my card & on review of receipt I realised that I was overcharged by over €100+ . We raised this mistake with the lounge staff, management & security, but we were basically told to go away, customer relations non existing. The Manager, Snr Floor Staff Member & Security could not provide the name of the venue owner, license holder or their employer "stating they didn't know" to escalate & resolve this error & move on. I have subsequently located this information to take appropriate action. As mature adults we didn't let this horrible experience ruin our evening. After speaking with the establishment it subsequently turned out that a 'misc drink' charge on the receipt is actually a service charge which is not described as a service charge. Had my birthday party here on Saturday. Its a beautiful pub with nice spaces for groups. Its in a great location as well. Excellent selection of beers on tap as well as cocktails and the usual staples. The platters are extremely generous and the food on them was delicious. There were about 30 of us and all the staff made sure that we had a great night. Service was fast and they were mindful to keep me informed off the extent of my tab as the night proceeded.
