Nomad — Restaurant in Fingal

On 11th November 2024 at 5.21pm Myself and my partner paid for two Mexican bowls with tofu. We requested the peanut products / sauces not be added to the bowls due to my partner peanut allergy. After eating some of the food my partner realised the food tasted as if it included something with peanuts and his mouth was beginning to itch. When we flagged this to the staff (a blonde Manager & a young man on til and woman in the kitchen) asking what had been included in the bowl, they were most unhelpful in that they could not tell us the ingredients and also did not seem to care that at any moment my partner could go into anaphylactic shock. We had to probe multiple times & request to see the physical allergen guide. A very poor and unsafe response from management dealing with a potential health risk and very poor customer service. Perhaps some training required so the employees understand what ingredients are being served to...

I share this photo deliberately at this angle because that's how difficult it is to see the actual menu with actual prices as opposed to three TV screens quickly changing with just pictures and no price info. This is absolutely not inclusive whatsoever for anyone who needs things to stay still to take them in or indeed anyone who wants to see everything on offer rather than edited highlights. Just have a simple menu in an obvious place where people can read it. Also post your hours outside the shop. Seems to close at 7pm because that's when they turn off the annoying TVs. I have passed this place so many times but their annoying attitude to customer information puts me right off. I'd actually buy the salmon and avocado on toast but no, that's mornings only. €8.50 for the smallest chicken club sandwich you'll ever see!? Outrageous, even by airport food prices.

Went to pay, the women behind the counter ignored me as she continued to chat with her co-workers. Eventually she decided to scan the item and charge me, all while still maintaining her conversation with her co-worker and not once looking in my direction. I had to ask for a receipt three times as the women didn't respond when I asked. She didn't say a single word throughout the transaction... Really bizarre interaction.

Sandwich was quite dry, apart from the oddly moist bread. The slice of cheese had a taste of wax. I doubt it was fresh... Absolutely awful. If I wasn't in a hurry, I would have demanded a refund for this.
