This place is a hidden gem in limerick city, beautiful Italian restaurant with cozy vibes. The selection of food is authentic and rich in flavor. We’ve had Caprese salad as a starter, the quality of tomato and mozarella were really nice, and you can feel the originality of that olive oil and herbs. Fettuccine Alfredo is a great option for vegetarians or people with some food restrictions. Pasta is well cooked and the cream used in the dish is really tasty. That fish (sole) I believe it’s called was the best I’ve ever tasted tbh. It’s a big portion and well seasoned. The staff were very nice and welcoming, I highly recommend this place and will definitely go back for more options!

Food was generally OK. Mussels for starter were very good. Main - the Filetto al Pepe - tasty, but presentation very poor. This medallions in pepper sauce looks like a blob on the plate. It was served with some sliced and roasted potatoes, which were fine, but a piece of cauliflower and brocoli served with this dish in my opinion does not work at all. Tiramisu for the dessert was ok. Restaurant does not have any sweetener for coffee and waitress offered honey instead. Well, that is also sugar... Place is a bit run down - hanging bare wires from the ceiling, not build in properly aircon unit, so it is not adding at all to the atmosphere.

La Piccola is a warm place with great staff and good food. We visited the Italian restaurant a couple of weeks ago. The ambience of the place is great and warm. Perfect for q quiet dinner. We unexpectedly had a colleague join us with their young child (not mentioned during our reservation). The staff were generous to accommodate us and were very patient with the child. The only complaint would be about the quantity of food portions (especially the seafood ravioli). It is not very filling. On the other hand the pizza looked good. Desserts were delightfully delicious. Will definitely visit again.

This is one of the most special restaurants you will ever come across. My friends and I were traveling through Ireland this March and stumbled upon this place. It got great reviews, and we had time to kill before our bus out of town. The food was exceptional, and the owner/staff were exceptionally kind. The hit of the night was the owner’s wife’s homemade pistachio cheesecake. One of the best desserts I have ever tasted. One of the members of our party ordered it, we all tried it, and ended up ordering 3 additional slices so the rest of the group could enjoy it was THAT GOOD. The restaurant staff are some of the kindest people we have come across in all of Ireland. When our bus out of town never showed up at night, they were so kind to help us figure it out as it was getting late, our phones were low battery, and most of the businesses in town had closed including the bus company’s customer service office. The cook even had his daughter on the phone looking up additional ways for us to get back to Killarney where we were staying. If you are looking for a lovely meal, a cozy atmosphere, and exceptional service from kind-hearted staff this is the...

We came here on our one night stay in Limerick and had such an amazing experience.

The place very charming, but is a bit hidden. We walked down some stairs and rang the doorbell. Were greated by two very nice and polite servers. It felt a bit like being greeted for dinner at a friends. We ordered the carbonara and lasagna with salad for dinner. The carbonara was good but the lasagna was one of the best I have ever had at a restaurant!

We decided to get some desert. My husband had the tiramisu and I had the coppa amarena (vanilla ice cream with black cheeries). We could not stop eating the coppa amarena. So simple, yet so good.

I have to say, as soon as I sat down I had the feeling of being hugged by my grandmother. It would actually have been her birthday the day we went to La Poccola Italia, and I definitely thought of her when we had our dinner. This would have been a restaurant she would have frequented if it had been available in...

Was told when booking we would have to be out by 8 and that was fine. But the speed at which the food was brought was excessive. After we arrived in one woman was giving out to another of the women just a meter away from us and this was not at all pleasant to hear when out having dinner. At this point thwy asked us to move tables which we did. When seated at the new table i asked for some water only to find lipstick on the glass at my table. The lady taking our order was abrupt and not pleasant. The lady serving our table was a bit familiar calling us love and touching my shoulder from the back before asking me how was everything on way to many occasions. The decor is non existent and the table was far to small and confined. My food was reasonable and that is the...
