Book a table of four there as it was a birthday dinner. We had to leave within 1 hour, did not even try to finish our dinner. Place is freezing cold no heater at all there, all customer hadd to be with their coat on which is not comfortable at all while dinning. At first we ask if they had fish and they said yes. Only while sitting on the table we were said mo fish available, again we ordered pork belly again the owner came back to ask if we would like to change for duck. The reason was that they have fresh duck we did not mind we thought lets give it a try. (May be they did not have the pork belly). Ordered duck springrolls which were way to sweet, got a chowmein for one of my children lookef like it had to be eaten with a spoon instead of fork as it only came as crumble. Anothet dish we took was half duck which again was served extremely cold, look like it was just been taken from the fridge on asking the waiter to heat it up, the reply was some people like it cold. But from my experience we never serve cold duck for main course. Well not a single dish look well prepared, does not even look it was made from a chef, tasteless, cold, this is the first time i had to leave a dinner within 1 hr, could stay there. And we paid a dinner for 85 euro to be leaving most of our food .we actually had to go somewhere for a take way as we were still hungry. Would definately not recommend not worth the price at all. Place very uncosy as its freezing cold inside. Also it was only 3 people working around so you can think why the food and...
Read moreWe’re visiting the republic of Ireland with two teenagers who follow an Irish guy who talks about a proper spice bag. To me, that’s a bag you’d toss into a pot with crab legs. Newsflash the Irish, or mainly the many Chinese/Asian take away restaurants in Ireland see it much differently. It’s a taste treat (albeit a cardiological nightmare) comprised of fried chicken strips, French fries, a few sautéed vegetables and a mound chips. Which those are French fries. Mind you this is the only spice bag I’ve had, but damn. It was good for several reasons.
First, price. Americans have this idea that eating in Ireland is going to be so expensive. It’s very comparable or even less in price when you realize that Europe pays servers enough to not rely on tips. Tax is also built into the cost so that doesn’t drop another 10% on.
Second. The food. Yep. Not healthy. Yep. Not gourmet. However it was seasoned amazingly, and fresh hot and a dang good portion. The curry sauce was flavorful and you control how much or how little you want. I wanted all of it. Plus Sriacha.
Third. Madam Mok herself is a huge part of the deal. She served us and didn’t try to sell us on ordering more than we needed, and was kind, funny and down to earth. Which sums up just about every Irish person we’ve met along the way, no matter where he or she was born.

Read moreMy family was traveling and was staying at a hotel nearby this summer. We were looking for authentic Chinese cuisine. The dishes we ordered were full of flavor and delicious. Being Chinese and a choosy eater, I seldom compliment restaurants dinning out. Furthermore, everyone in my family gave a thumb up; everyone ate the food served to his/her and asked for extra rice. The owner was very friendly. She offered her homemade chili. My husband loved the extra punch it added to his meal. I hope anyone who enjoys Chinese or Asian food give this small business a try if you happen to be looking for this type of food in the area. Hopefully, you will not be disappointed. The pricing is also very fair on the dishes for this family-owned restaurant. Now a day dining out at a restaurant is expensive. This one won't...
