Amazing vegan coffee (vegan oat milk ) but no vegan food, no vegan hot food, which is so sad, because I'm getting a bus to cork now, ( at Henry street bus stop ) and I have to wait hours to get vegan food in cork which is a long time to wait. If they had vegan hot food then I would be happy but it does ruin my day out to cork. I work in retail, so it's extremely rare I get a day off ( my day out ) I come here once a month when I get a bus to cork ,to go M and S just to get vegan food and bus back to Limerick. So, the Good things, I love the fancy blue soap and free tampons in ladies loo and good music is .on now (the cranberries is on now ).and I love the glass so you see staff cooking , looks very clean , it's a huge pity they won't cook vegan hot Food ...... Hopefully when I come back in a month, they'll have vegan menu . All I want is vegan sausage, toast, beans, vegan hash browns, vegan rashers, vegan scrambled tofu , add tumeric to make it yellow, ( then it looks like yellow scrambled egg) , you can buy them in Tesco in Arthur's quay, and sell them here for huge profit. Tourists would be happy too. Please listen to feedback. Thank you. From Aisling Lyons, a vegan food crtic...
Read moreMorning after my brother’s proper Irish wedding, we stop here en route to Dublin to get our heads right and it was one thing after another. We are told to wait for them to clean a table and it’s then given to a different group. We are seated outside in the pouring rain and heat lamps are broken. We wait for the menu, it never comes. Then the waiter takes our drink order, annoyed that we don’t know what we want but he still hasn’t brought menus. I end up walking inside to get one; then walking inside to order; then walking inside to pay. One of us ordered a chicken sandwich, only to be told a full hour after we sat down that they are out of chicken (an ingredient in 40% of the dishes). He requested a tuna salad sandwich and the kitchen sent out two pieces of bread with a can of dry tuna smashed in between—inedible. The rest of the food was bland, the bread too heavy, and the price for this 2-hour odyssey was way too much. I have never walked out of a restaurant without leaving gratuity (I’m...
Read moreCame in while passing through Castletroy roughly two weeks ago now. I had the chicken florentine and my husband had the BLT, both beautiful, with two lattes. The coffees were great but service a little slow, due to what seemed to be an understaffing problem. There only seemed to be one staff member dealing with everything at the time while the cafe was full and seemed to have a constant turnover while we were sitting down. What seemed to be the manager then came in started and started giving out, quite loudly, as we could hear her quite clearly from inside the kitchen area. She then proceeded to leave while the cafe was busy and clearly needed more help. Apart from this, everything was beautiful and I compliment the staff member and kitchen for trying their best to keep everything...
