Meat Lover's Paradise in Limerick: Hamptons Grill

I had a recent booking at Hamptons Grill for 12 people. We were seated all together in a lovely area of the restaurant, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. The waitress we had was excellent. She was attentive, efficient and joined in with the laughter at our table. The food was to die for! We each had 3 courses, and we had no complaints. Everyone enjoyed every dish they got. The food has only gotten better since I was last there, as I didn't enjoy it as much before. You can order from the main dinner menu with the higher prices, or there's an option of a shorter menu where you get a starter, main course and dessert for €39. At today's prices, that is unbelievable value, especially with the food we got. The restaurant itself is fabulous inside, the tables have great space without being too near others, and the bathrooms are well kept and very clean. Everything is to a high standard. My only complaint is that there is a service charge of 10% on the bill, but with the affordability of the short menu I can overlook it.

Two of us went here on a Sunday night for the first time in a few years. I had been a few times previously and had sub standard meals but we said we would try it again for a change from our usual restaurants. I saw no reason to be rushing back here atmosphere was quite nice with comfy seating but the meal and service were nothing to get excited about. We ordered spring rolls and pate for starter and it was on our table in less then two minutes so they couldn't have been making the spring rolls to order. The mains were Steak and ribs. I had the ribs which were just far too sweet I like sweet food but I was feeling a little sick from how sweet they were. Desserts were next and at €7.50 a dessert I was expecting something amazing it was not. They were fine nothing special. I had two pints a Guinness and a Heineken both at 5.75 a pint which is on the expensive side. Guinness wasn't great which can be expected from a restaurant at times. Overall I can't think of any reason why I would come back here again when there are so many restaurants in a similar or cheaper price range that offer so much more value for money.

Went to Hamptons tonight for my partners birthday dinner. Decor and atmosphere were the first things you notice, beautiful establishment. We were greeted by lovely staff and brought to our table. For starters we ordered the duck spring rolls and pork belly, both were mouth-watering. Our server brought us our mocktails ,pina colada and maverick martini, to say we loved them was an understatement, they were very refreshing and not overly sweet. The star of the show were our mains, I had the 10oz fillet steak and my partner had the ribeye. Without a doubt the best steaks we have ever had ! Desserts were creme brulee and forerro rocher cheesecake and again were outstanding. All staff who came to our table were lovely, very friendly and polite. The best table service we have experienced, we wernt waiting long between courses and empty plates wernt left on the table long either . Hamptons you deserve the full five stars , thank you so much for having us and we will look forward to coming back again this year !

Tembo our waiter took great care, he is an excellent waiter and perhaps one of the best ive ever experienced. Once ordered the food came fast. The 3 course meal was 29.99, however the price was still 99 for 2 at the end of the day. So this is not the place for you if you wouldnt have the money to treat yourself and yours. Because the food was definantly a treat and plentiful. It was the biggest brownie on a plate ive seen in a restaurant. Since this was a bithday the personal came and sang a birhday song and we got our picture in a Hamptons frame. Extraodinary food: There was lobster 20 for half and 30 for a full and the dishes were dressed with rare leaves, but no eatible flowers or wild meat on the menu. The kitchen is open long after 10 and there is a sooking/ waiting area which is "inside/covered", which is ideal for those waiting for a lift home. The only minus is that there is a starcase into the restaurant and no elevator. This is definantly the place for special ocations.
