West Lake Asian Street Food — Restaurant in Limerick

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant with my partner, and I have to say, the experience was exceptional! The food was absolutely amazing—piping hot and full of flavor. I’ve seen a lot of reviews mentioning cold or bland food, particularly with the delivery service, but I’ve ordered from here multiple times, all the way from Westlake to Castletroy, and it’s always arrived piping hot.

A huge shoutout to the amazing waitress, Sarah, who made the experience even better. She was super friendly, chatty, and more than happy to accommodate a few modifications I made to my order. Her service really stood out, and she made us feel very welcome.

I also want to mention how kind the owner is. They’re always present at the restaurant, ready to help and ensure everything runs smoothly, which is something you don’t see too often with restaurant owners!

3 stars is the maximum we could rate. Me and my Irish and Polish friends see the good reviews and happily ordered the takeaway, and, it turned out not so good. We asked for extra veggies as they are vegetarians, but instead, we got chicken wings without expecting it. The overly cooked saggy veggies are soaked in the sauce, my god, so much sauce, so salty. A bit disappointing and hope the restaurant can put some fair efforts in cooking as the food is not free. You got a beautiful name ‘ west lake’, sure please do the justice to your name.

The fried rice and the fried wontons are good. The food is cooked in time.

I live in Limerick for 3 years now, but I only discovered this place this year and I regret every other year I've been eating other takeaways 😅 This restaurant technically makes the same type of Asian cuisine, but on whole diffrient level of quality. Food is extremely fresh and tasty, portions are almost too large, wait time is very short (altho I always order in the evening hours), restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated, staff is super friendly and takeaways are always very well packed and complete.
