Dragon Heen Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in The Borough District of Wexford

Booked a table for 3 Christmas eve at 6.30pm what a disaster firstly there were people queuing down the stairs waiting on there takeaway orders. Myself and 2 others had squeeze by them to get to the restaurant section i made my way to the desk which also had people around it looking for there orders i was told to wait and they be with me in a few minutes While waiting the table behind me was filthy and hadn't been cleared food dried up on plates i noticed a further 4 tables with dishes plied high on them there were 3 tables with people still eating A staff member went to the table and cleared it of its dirty dishes then turns over the used paper table cloth around and called us to our table no cutlery or anything then came back with a saucer or prawn crackers It was really bad looking at tables with left over dried up food place was a mess i counted 6 tables uncleaned. our order arrived 2 beef curry's and 1 beef peper sauce dish beef was in a small bowl with a tiny drop of curry sauce which was tepid the pepper dish was very hot but also lacked sauce it was very very scarce

People were queuing along side the dividing partition still waiting on their food order so they were approx 2 foot away from us in a long que one man was shouting he was fed up waiting. we bearley ate what was put in front of us we were gone by 15 we asked for the bill €57.00 il never set foot in it again ever we were disgusted only for there was so many people there around the desk shouting I'd of called the manager ...

Ive been going to this restaurant since we came back home, and was on my own today. I had starters and then started to eat the main course and within a couple of minutes of starting to eat i was asked to pay the bill! I had to quickly chew and put the fork down to get my purse so even though it completely disturbed my dinner they wanted the bill paying! I felt that insulted i paid the €60.10 in cash and walked out and what was supposed to be a nice Sunday dinner was ruined. Ive never been in a restaurant where they disturb you in the middle of your dinner and stand over you whilst you pay! I hadnt even managed to eat more than 2 mouthfuls before having to pay. To Dragon Heen ive spent a good amount with you whenever Ive dined and never been asked to pay whilst eating, you need to tell diners that you want payment in advance if you dont trust your customers. Im very disappointed and insulted, good restaurants do not do that to their customers. I was really looking forward to the meal and taking home any leftovers but i was so embarassed i left everything including dishes i hadnt even managed to try! Thank you for ruining my dining...

Came here couple weeks ago with my family and we decided to book for Mother’s Day and invite family members down from Waterford , we also brought my 80 year old Nanny with us. The service was absolutely awful… we got there at 5:50pm and never left until 8:00pm and that wasn’t by choice. It must have taken at least 30 minutes or 40 minutes for each course to come out. If my nanny had not ask for her dessert, it could have been nearly 8:30pm until we would have got to leave. When I did go to talk to the staff members about the situation all I was told was “sorry I will tell management”, no way of trying to compromise or even get a manger for us to speak too. I worked in restaurants for over 3 years and understand sometimes it gets very busy but it wasn’t even that busy. There was 3 other tables there and a table of 4 came in the same time as us and they had a 3 course meal before we even got our mains. I have never experienced something like this again and I can honestly say it is a shame but I will never be...
