This review will be mixed, but I'll start with the best part.

The Lamb madras dish. While I expected a traditional preparation with the usual combination of tomato, chili, and aromatic spices, I was pleasantly surprised by a unique twist. The lamb madras I encountered was slightly creamy and milder in terms of spiciness. Although it deviated from the conventional recipe, I was completely won over by its deliciousness.

One of the standout features of this dish was the tenderness of the lamb. The meat practically melted in my mouth with each bite, demonstrating the skillful cooking technique employed by the chefs. It was evident that they had taken great care in selecting quality cuts of lamb and cooking them to perfection.

The accompanying naan breads were exceptional. They were freshly baked, warm, and flavourful.

This dish left me longing for more. I would gladly swap out my own lamb madras recipe for this delightful variation any day.

The Butter Chicken.

While I had high hopes for this classic dish, I must admit that it fell short of my expectations. The tomato flavor was overpowering, lacking the balance I was hoping for. Additionally, the dish needed more cream to achieve the desired richness. The kasoori methi, a crucial ingredient in butter chicken, didn't come through enough, leaving me wanting for its distinct taste. Unfortunately, this particular rendition missed the mark for me.

Chicken Biryani.

I must admit that this dish was ok, but left me somewhat disappointed. One of the primary issues was the lack of basic seasoning, such as salt, which is essential to enhance the flavors of the ingredients. Unfortunately, the other spices and ingredients didn't shine through as well, resulting in a dish that lacked the depth and complexity expected from a flavorful biryani. The accompanying sauce/gravy is nice but overall, it was a missed opportunity to showcase the vibrant and aromatic qualities that make chicken biryani so beloved.

(Also an easy fix in my opinion)

Overall I can't be harsh, the value for money and portion sizing is FANTASTIC, and I know another night the Chef will find his/her salt, cream and other spices to fix the other dishes.

I will be back for the madras for sure, and I'll get some other dishes to give you my feedback on.

Lastly, this is just my opinion; to show its down to personal tastes, my son told me the Biryani was great and told me I shouldn't...

Title: A Culinary Delight with Exquisite Indian Cuisine at Sealord

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sealord, and it was an extraordinary experience that exceeded my expectations. The ambiance is a perfect blend of sophistication and comfort, creating an inviting atmosphere for a delightful culinary journey.

The Goan Fish Curry was an absolute highlight! Bursting with authentic flavors and perfectly balanced spices, it truly transported me to the coastal regions of India. The freshness of the fish combined with the rich coconut-based curry made it an unforgettable culinary masterpiece.

The staff at Sealord deserves special commendation for their professionalism and attentiveness. From the moment I stepped in, their warm hospitality added to the overall positive dining experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu, providing insightful recommendations that enhanced our dining choices.

The restaurant's upscale appearance adds an extra layer of charm to the dining experience. The attention to detail in both the decor and presentation of dishes reflects the commitment to providing a top-notch dining environment. Sealord is not just a restaurant; it's an oasis for those seeking an exquisite journey through Indian cuisine.

In conclusion, Sealord stands out as a gem in the realm of Indian restaurants. Whether you're a connoisseur of Indian cuisine or a newcomer eager to explore its diverse flavors, Sealord promises a gastronomic adventure that will leave you craving for more. Highly recommended for those who appreciate a fusion of authenticity, professionalism, and a touch of elegance in their...

I've found this beautiful Indian restaurant, it takes me over an hour to travel back and forth but its so worth it. Sealord is a hidden gem. I've had food from different places in Wexford but Sealord in my opinion is so consistent, fresh, and when you put the food in your mouth it's like a taste of heaven, no joking it's beautiful and you will not be disappointed. 100%. I always tend to go for hot and spicy, vindaloo. It's always the wow factor and it's hot. My wife has the Goan fish curry. The Goan is as I say always beautifully constructed, the fresh ginger, garlic, spices just work and there is always plenty of fish and King prawns. Its a meal that you want to save some for the next day, its that good. Well 2nd September I ordered the usual and saw they have a New Menu. I tried the Chicken Peri Peri. OMG it's hot, tasty and so full of spice it will blow your mind. So if you like hot, spicy and tangy food, and you think your able to handle this beautifully constructed dish go for it but have a glass of milk ready. The new menu looks good with New Dishes added. The Chef looks like he's worked hard putting this together. The staff are amazing and so nice. Please don't forget that if you don't want too much spice then just ask the lads working, they will help you. Anthony deserves a shout out he's a funny guy, a big Teddy bear. And thank you Bonnie for your awesome food and hard work. The meal deal is great value. The restaurant is very easy to find, it's opposite the train station. I PROMISE YOU WON'T BE...

I recently had dinner at Sealord Indian Restaurant in Wexford Town, and it was a fantastic experience overall. Food: The food was the star of the evening. I ordered the Chicken biriyani (and it was bursting with flavour—rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. And superb tastey. Service: The staff were warm, welcoming, and very attentive throughout the meal. Our server checked in just the right amount, and the food arrived quickly. You can tell the team takes pride in their hospitality. Atmosphere: The restaurant has a cosy and inviting feel, with soft lighting and tasteful decor. It’s not a large space, so it fills up quickly—I'd recommend booking in advance, especially on weekends. Value: Prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion size. One thing to note: rice is not included with the main dishes and must be ordered separately, which might catch some people off guard. However, it’s a small detail in an otherwise great value meal. Bonus points for allowing BYO wine (with a modest corkage fee). Final Thoughts: Sealord is easily one of the best spots in Wexford for Indian food. Whether you’re a spice lover or prefer milder flavours, there’s something here for everyone. Highly recommended for a cozy date night or dinner with friends.

This is my first time to Wexford and with me being a yorkshire man from the heart of curry utopia of the north of England, you have to try a4.8 star rating indian. The dining area is small but has a touch of class and elegance . We loved the booth. It is very clean and fresh. Ambience is very well balanced with soft tone lights and soothing music in the background. The Staff....are very well presented and very polite and friendly. Service... was very well time with very little waiting. The food....... I had the most delicious starter and main. Fresh light and tasty. From being to end the meal was perfect. The rice is light and fluffy. The first Indian I have had where chips were lovely. My dish butter chicken. Very tasty, fresh and full of vibrant colour. Added to the meal I perfect bottle of ice cold Cobra. This place needs a 5 star 🌟 rating. 100% recommended A big thanks to the staff for everything 🙏

Great atmosphere, very friendly and professional staff. We had the beef kebab and the sharing platter for starters and they were very nice, accompanied by flavourful sauces. For mains we had lamb korma and lamb biryani and they were so good, very good balance of flavours, meat cooked to perfection, melting in your mouth and even if we weren’t able to finish all at the table, we took the remaining food home and ate it the next day… and it was delicious. We even ordered more food to takeaway to have enough for next day dinner 😅. For dessert we tried the saffron dumpling which came accompanied by ice cream to give it a nice balance. Overall it was a great experience and we enjoyed all the food and the service. Looking forward to future takeaways 😁.
