I recently had the most appalling experience at Biddy Early's cocktail bar in Kilkenny, which left me feeling utterly humiliated and emotionally distressed. The night had started on a high note, with laughter and camaraderie from a comedy gig, but it took a dark turn when I entered Biddy Early's.

Upon needing to use the restroom, I opted for a toilet stall due to my anxiety around using urinals in crowded spaces. As I was finishing up, a bouncer began banging on the door, ultimately accusing me of illicit activities and demanding that I leave the bar. Despite my pleas of innocence and offers to be searched, the bouncer showed no empathy or understanding, forcefully pushing me towards the exit. This heartless treatment left me shaking and devastated, as I was forced to wait outside while my friends and family finished their drinks.

The owner's response to my initial 1-star review was a single, offensive word: "scumbag." This callous disregard for a customer's well-being and the lack of empathy displayed by both the bouncer and the owner are truly shocking. Upon further investigation, I discovered that this is a recurring pattern in this establishment, as evidenced by other 1-star reviews and the owner's dismissive responses. To whom it might concern I am sending this email as I am very disappointed with the way I was treated in your establishment last Saturday the 26th around 6pm. I went with a friend to have a few drinks to pass a great time but what happened was far away from Starting for the moment I came in. I was asked my age as the establishment only takes over 21. Fair enough I told my age and the bouncer didnt believe so l showed my id. Something was mentioned about my trousers what I couldnt believe as I saw people much worse dressed inside than myself. We enter the venue we sat down and we were looking to the menu when supprisingly an employee approached our tables to tell us we need to leave due to my trousers. I was in total desbilief for a complete descrimination towards myself. Never felt like this before. The most important is who pays the bill in the end and not the way how we are dressed. Every person has their right to dress the way they want. I wanted to bring this to management attention because I think its a terrible costumer service and can keep clients away. This place is quite a strange pub. The first thing that caught my eye was the very young crowd, some appearing to be under 18, drinking cocktails. Additionally, several people were vaping inside, clearly in front of the bar staff.

The atmosphere was quite loud due to it being karaoke night. It seems this pub caters mainly to locals rather than tourists. Other than these points, it has a typical pub setting with a variety of drinks. I tried a pint of Sullivan's Pale Ale, which I found to be a bit overpriced.
