Chose this restaurant because of the great reviews. Sorry to say that we were very disappointed in both the food and the service. We showed up around 8 pm and waited for a table outside for about 10 minutes which is pretty standard. The waiter approached us and took our order. We got the caprese salad, cod with gazpacho, seafood risotto and the lamb. The caprese salad and cod with gazpacho came out relatively quickly and were fine quality. Wouldn’t say it was the best we’ve had. After our first dishes were taken away we waited for about 45 minutes to get our second course. No one stopped by to check on our table during this time and after multiple failed attempts to waive down a waiter we were getting slightly impatient. Meanwhile all the other parties who were seated after us were getting their second dishes and desserts. We were finally able to get someone’s attention and our food was brought out shortly. I would not say that my partner and I are picky with our meals but both the risotto and the lamb were second rate, at best. The risotto was watery and more than half of the mussels and clams on my plate were completely closed. Another 25% of them I was able to pry open with my fork, with difficulty. The lamb that my partner ordered was bland and the portion size was too small. Price point is not an issue for us since we live in New York City so it is crazy to think that we felt cheated out of this meal. To top things off when we finished our food and asked for the check, the waiter gave us a snide remark about how we must be in such a rush because we need to catch a ferry. Very disappointed in our experience. I recommend you choose any of other the tens of restaurants in the area and don’t bother with...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant in Italy, and overall, I was quite impressed with the food and the service—though there were a few areas that could be improved.
Food: I ordered the mussels and clams, the risotto, and a salad. The mussels and clams were very tasty—simple yet delicious, even if they didn’t offer any new flavors I hadn’t tried before. The risotto was also good, nicely prepared and satisfying.
Service: The restaurant was quite crowded when we arrived. We wanted a table for five and were told we’d have to wait about 30 minutes to sit outside. However, I felt the seating arrangement was poorly organized. Even though we were there first, the staff kept seating groups of two as tables became available, rather than rearranging them to accommodate our larger group. This resulted in us waiting longer than expected. The hostess was a bit dry in her communication, but the waiter who took our order was extremely friendly, spoke excellent English, and made sure we felt welcome. All the staff were polite overall, and the food was served promptly once we were seated.
Atmosphere: The place is popular and busy, so be prepared to wait if you’re looking for an outdoor table. Despite the crowd, the atmosphere was lively and authentic, which added to the Italian dining experience.
Overall: If you’re looking for authentic, well-prepared Italian seafood and risotto, I’d recommend this restaurant for the food alone. However, I do think the staff could improve the seating arrangements to make the experience smoother for...

Had lunch here upon our arrival to Amalfi this past Saturday. My friend had the special with lobster which was divine. I had the Schiatelli di Amalfi which was my first time and loved it. I just learned how to make pasta by hand in Italy and really enjoyed tasting how this handmade pasta dish really held onto the wonderful sauce.
Our server was a gentleman and he was great. So I actually forgot one of my important camera equipment bags at my table and did not realize it until later when we checked into our place in Ravello. I was pretty worried but we were hoping I left it at the restaurant so we took a bus back to Amalfi to check. Serendipitously, one of the waitresses (Veronica) was on the bus and tapped me on the shoulder when I got on and told me how she remembers me from lunch and that I left my bag there. I was overjoyed and told her how we were actually on the bus to go back there to check! She said she would let her colleague know we were coming. So very kind! Upon our arrival back, Maryanne welcomed us back and told us how she went after us after we left, checking the square but could not find us.
I have never had a restaurant go so above & beyond to help a patron and I am so so thankful 🙏 thank you for having not only amazing food, but amazing people who work there. Sorry if I spelled any names wrong! You are so lucky to have them working there and I am so glad I came for lunch.
Can't wait to come...
