As a vegetarian, I was delighted to find that La Terrazza di Lucullo offers a variety of delicious and satisfying vegetarian options. The Parma giano and grilled vegetable sandwich was a standout dish, with the rich flavors of the Parma giano cheese melting in my mouth and the grilled vegetables adding a perfect crunch. The orange juice was also a standout - super fresh and the perfect complement to the meal.

I booked one of the private tables at the Terrazza for my wife’s birthday. The view and ambiance at this table were unmatched, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We did the tasting menu which was wonderfully paced and had a great variety of local Italian cuisine. Overall the food was tasty but didn’t quite wow us, and the lack of a pairing option for the tasting menu was a little bit of a letdown; our server did help us pick out a great bottle for the meal however. The restaurant appeared to be aiming for a Michelin type experience but didn’t quite reach that level of taste and presentation, and unfortunately the cost for the meal actually exceeded some of the Michelin restaurants we ate at. We did appreciate the ability to switch out some of the tasting menu courses for meals on the a la carte menu should we have desired. Overall we had a nice experience and meal at La Terrazza, but likely would seek other dining options should we return to Capri...

The view is unbeatable and the food is very good. Expensive but was to be expected. Giving only 3 stars as we were not hotel guests and only visiting the restaurant and, thus, were not treated the same. When we arrived we were told the bar was full and we could wait down by the restaurant and order a drink. The bar was not even half full. When we arrived down by the restaurant, we were told we could not order a drink. The manager intervened and we received the promised drinks. When seated for dinner, the staff were attentive until they found out we were not hotel guests. The other guests were given preferential treatment. The manager again stepped in to take our wine order. The only great part of the service was provided by a lovely young lady who delivered our plates, cleared them and kept our glasses full.
