Quite literally the worst dining experience of my life. My sister ordered an iced tea with lemon slushie and what arrived smelled exactly like raw sewage — not stale, not spoiled, but like it had been scooped straight out of a toilet. We all gagged. They took it away without a word or apology, and one minute later brought a fresh one that was fine, while bizarrely claiming the first was made three hours ago (which somehow explains neither the smell nor why it was served).
The octopus salad was just as bad, rubbery, inedible octopus and raw starchy potatoes. We then made the mistake of ordering the seafood pasta, which was so salty it could have been cooked in actual seawater. It barely contained any seafood, only a few clams and the same awful octopus, nothing like the prawns, scampi and langoustine in their own review photos. When I raised this, the woman I assume was the manager argued with me like it was a sport, insisting “seafood pasta” meant “seafood of the day” in her eyes, as if menus and words mean whatever she decides. When I mentioned the iced tea, she rolled her eyes, threw her hands up and said “oh my god, what a tragedy I’m sorry!!” in the most sarcastic tone imaginable.
I’ve eaten at countless restaurants and even owned one myself, I know the difference between fresh seafood, spoiled seafood, and whatever this was. My sister spent the night sick after just a few sips of that disgusting tea. Every aspect was terrible: the food, the service, the attitude, the hygiene. If you value your health, your money, or your dignity, avoid this place like the plague. The suspiciously glowing reviews here make me wonder if they were written by real customers at all; because no honest diner would ever recommend it after experiencing...
Read moreWe weren’t expecting to be blown away, but this place delivered one of the best Italian meals we’ve had—and that’s coming from people who’ve eaten their way through both NYC and Italy.
The Pasta Arrabbiata had just the right amount of heat and depth, cooked perfectly al dente. The eggplant rolls were soft, rich, and bursting with flavor. The Margherita pizza was simple and done exactly how it should be: light, crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and no overthinking it. And the sciue sciue pasta—fresh, bright, and full of that straight-from-the-garden taste.
The food alone is worth the visit, but what made the night even better was the staff. Flamina, our waitress, was fantastic—friendly, sharp, and had a great sense of humor that made us feel like regulars. And Lucho, who welcomed us at the door, was smooth, charming, and genuinely excited to have us there. You can tell the team cares about the experience.
We’ve eaten at plenty of well-known spots, but this one stands shoulder to shoulder with the best. Great food, great people,...
Read moreWe stumbled into Sciué Sciué in Anacapri just before closing for the afternoon and were lucky to grab a table, it was packed, which instantly told us it was worth a try.
We ordered the lemon ravioli, which were dense yet tender with a surprisingly “meaty” bite. Absolutely delicious and definitely a standout dish. We also tried the sausage, eggplant, and cheese pizza, which interestingly comes with no sauce. While the individual ingredients were phenomenal, the eggplant released a lot of water, leaving the dough soggy and taking away from the overall experience.
Service was excellent, our food came out quickly despite the busy atmosphere. The restaurant itself is charming, with a cozy nook surrounded by their garden, creating such a beautiful setting to dine in. We also loved the playful touch of the giant scissors used to cut the pizza, fun and memorable.
Overall, a wonderful spot in Anacapri with unique dishes and great service. The ravioli alone makes it...
