Barucchelli — Restaurant in Bari

Very dishonest people. I was going to order an appetizer and i said it is too much for 1 person and the waiter said "we can do it for 1 person" so i said ok, but when i went to pay he charged me for the full price. I said no the waiter said he was ordering 1/2 the appetizer and the man at the bar asked the waiter and the waiter said they told him they couldn't do that...HE SUGGESTED IT... I asked why didn't he say anything and he just walked away. The man behind the bar was silent...they would not honor what i ordered. I am here for another week in this area and I will not be back. I have been in Italy for 2 months on this trip, and have been coming for 3 months a year since 2015 (minus 2021) and I have never experienced this type of deception and dishonesty before....

The food was absolutely horrendous. The penne arabiatta was drenched in sauce and there was barely any pasta in it. The seafood pasta had no shrimp squid or octopus in the pasta even though in the menu it had it. We waited 2+ hours for our dishes just to be told that the waitress forgot about it. They still demanded for service money even after all that. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, it smelt like poop all in it. The hairs on the sink, the open diaper in the bin next to the sink. I wouldn’t and wont recommend anybody to come. These people are all tourist phobic, and the waiters are tryna look like they are useful and all. They probably be telling the chefs that we are tourists and that they should ruin on purpose just because of it. I am so...

Please learn from our mistakes, and avoid this place at any cost if you are not looking for the worst restaurant experience. The staff is bored and not nice at all (except the pretty blonde girl in the bar - seriously though, why are you working at this place at all, you are much better than that), waited for ages just to order, and we nearly died of thirst by the time we got our beers... The food is terrible, the pizza is way too greasy , the carbonara felt nothing it should, and I think Italians would kill if they knew that their amazing cuisine was 'promoted' this way.
