We visited this restaurant two days in a row while staying in Bellagio. Our experience yesterday was lovely â the food was excellent, the ambiance was nice, and we left with a great impression. Thatâs why we came back today, just to enjoy a small meal and say goodbye before leaving town. Unfortunately, todayâs experience was disappointing and left us feeling unwelcome.
We came from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, and were genuinely excited to return even though we had already eaten lunch elsewhere. We simply wanted to enjoy a pasta dish and a tiramisĂš one last time. However, the staff refused to take our order unless each person ordered a full pasta and dessert. We tried explaining politely that we were already full and couldnât eat that much food, but we were still turned away.
What was especially confusing and frustrating is that the restaurant was completely empty (photo attached), so there was no reason to enforce such a rigid policy. When we asked if an exception could be made, we were told âItâs dinner time, we canât do anything.â
We understand that restaurants have rules, but hospitality is also about flexibility and welcoming guests, especially returning ones. This interaction felt more like a lack of respect than a reasonable policy. We left disappointed and unwelcome, which was a stark contrast from the warm experience we had the day before.
Itâs unfortunate that a place we enjoyed so much yesterday left us with a sour...
Read moreGreat dinner! When most places seemed to be closed, around 5-6pm, this was one of the few restaurants serving food - so we went with it as the menu options seemed good enough! The place seemed to be popular but perhaps it did not come across as sophisticated as other restaurants in the area, thus you might not think to choose it as your first option. However, the food was great! It was all mostly tasty and very good value for money! We tried one of the pizzas - which left us wanting more; two different pasta dishes, cannelloni bolognese and spaghetti ragu - both tasty; a caprese salad which we added more balsamic vinaigrette and salt to; and also for dessert, the tiramisu and the chocolate cake with pistachio ice cream - both were nice and worked well after a full meal. Overall, we were able to try quite a few different dishes which we enjoyed, for a decent amount of money! End message: I recommend the Bistrot if you're in the area and you're unsure of where to go. Also, I hope you enjoy...
Read moreThe service: Blond waiter with beard has a real bad attitude. It was raining and i asked if we can pit my mom's wheelchair inside so it doesnt get wet. Before i even finish my question he was shaking his head no no. I knew he did not understand my question. When i repeated he said again no we have to wait in line. I told him you are not listening to me, i just want to put the wheelchair inside and have my mom wait inside and i will wait outside. Then once he understood he said you can put it here. While talking he kept shaking his head no. It's ridiculous but honestly seems to be the norm in Italy, maybe cause there is no tip!? So they don't care. The small skinny girl that served us the food was nice and smily.
The food: -ordered steak with fries and salad as the menu said. Steak was not seasoned, tasteless and dry (did not seem quality). There was no salad, they just served it on a bed of Arugula. Fries were good.
-Pizza: the worst i had in italy so far. Crust was not good and...
