We came to Italy as part of our honeymoon in Europe in June 2023. Initially, we struggled to get to Bellagio from Milan as we arrived late. However, our worries and stresses went away as soon as we arrived at the hotel.
Although we arrived pretty late on a Sunday evening. Mauro, the manager greeted and attended to us. It was clear that he was busy and occupied on a Sunday evening but he spent some time getting us sorted and acquainted to the premises. Such great hospitality and care for getting us settled!
He recommended that we had dinner at the seta restaurant which was directly in front of the hotel. We were tired and slightly apprehensive to have dinner at the restaurant but it was the best decision we made on the trip. The service at the restaurant was impeccable. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. Ask for the specials! Mauro and his team got us a seat that had a great view as well. Ambience was perfect. We were relaxed and happy to have our dinner. Breakfast was a lovely ala carte with a very good selection. We came back for lunch as well as we preferred the seta restaurant to the other restaurants in Bellagio.
The hotel is located at the corner of Bellagio. The location is great. You will realise being in Bellagio that it gets crowded during the day especially on the strip of road where the piers are. Seta Hotel is tucked away from all the noise and swarms of people during the day. Although it is sheltered from all the noise and people, it is still very close by to the piers. Just minutes away so you are getting a very peaceful yet conveniently located hotel.
The hotel is clean, looks very new and recently renovated. The room was comfortable and clean. The amenities were modern and new. The team had put in a lot of effort to ensure that the facilities available was of quality. It is clear being guests at the hotel that they take pride in their hospitality. It was a a chic boutique hotel that did not have that many rooms which is exactly what we wanted so it is not too busy and limited to just a small group of guests.
On our check out day, we booked activities during the day and the hotel could accommodate storing our luggage. There is a toilet available for us to use after checking out too. The staff at reception was friendly and always ready to help us out. Both the restaurant and the hotel must be an experience as part of your Bellagio stay. Book in early to avoid any...
Read moreMy husband and I visited Bellagio, Italy for a friend’s wedding in April. I must say I was a little bit hesitant to stay at a boutique hotel however, when we travel without our kids we appreciate an adult’s only accommodation! At first contact Kaylie made our stay so welcoming, comfortable and pleasant. We called while at the airport and she confirmed the directions given by the host of the wedding was the best travel option to get to the hotel. Upon arrival Kaylie showed us around the room, explained how everything worked. We had a clear understanding of breakfast times and she advised us to take the guest card with us so staff is aware breakfast is no charge. Kaylie advised us to just ask for what we need daily such as steamers or irons. Since we didn’t have one specific to our room. We just ironed & steamed everything we needed in one morning to avoid having to request again which was fine. Kaylie was so helpful with coordinating taxis for transportation back-and-forth to wedding events. She was so kind enough to even leave us a sweet, farewell note, and a bag of breakfast items since we would be departing very early before the restaurant would open. The restaurant & bar were an additional benefit of staying at this hotel the view was breathtaking. The staff We’re very professional and kind. What I loved most about the restaurant was the fact that they made sure to service the guest of the hotel as priority to other patrons. Even giving the best seats in the restaurant with the best views to the guest of the hotel. So you don’t have to worry about whether or not you will be able to be serviced. Breakfast was my favorite meal. They have a good variety of options to order. I loved the coffee latte macchiato it is a must order & the mint tea! I would stay here again, The hotel is new, the bathroom has modern sink and shower. Our room had a cute balcony with table and chairs. I would recommend others to stay here. We only did four nights. During the week there was light construction going on next to our room not sure if they are extending the hotel. It wasn’t anything too obnoxious it didn’t really bother us. Kaylie thank you for everything you’re an angel! You were ten steps ahead of our needs and you made our stay away from home so much easier! We’ll be...
Read moreI visited this restaurant with my girlfriend in August 2022. When we ordered two portions of pasta, we noticed that the waiter looked at us very strangely. At that point, we had a feeling that something wasn't right, but we let that go. The pasta was really small and the taste was ordinary. We ordered a big sparkling water bottle and asked to put lemon and ice in it. The service is awful. We waited for the waiter too long, and when he brought us the check, we asked him to translate for us the receipt. Coperto (couver) is 7 euros per person and 5 euros for ice and lemon.
On my question, when is the price for coperto on the menu, he told us that you can't eat in such a great restaurant with a beautiful view for 30 euros. He was very rude and arrogant, and I asked him to call me the manager, and he said that he wasn't there, he had to go to Como.
Of course, I saw the manager outside and went to speak with him and first told him that now it's not only the problem in receipt but your waiter is also very rude and arrogant. He just listened to me and didn't say anything, not even "I'm sorry," or "apologize," nothing.
We know that in Italy, coperto is mandatory, but the price of 7 euros we didn't see. It would be ok if we saw on the menu the price, but they don't have it. The price usually starts from 1.5 to 3 euros in all other restaurants we have been to.
In the end, the bill of 50 eur was discounted to 40 eur.
We don't know if this is legal to charge, but that's their way of business.
I hope that this review will help others to avoid this...
