Nando is an absolute gem for fresh, flavorful food and exceptional service in the charming town of Bellagio. I visited on my first full day in Italy, speaking very broken Italian with the owner. Throughout my travels across the country, I sometimes felt that servers would quickly switch to English rather than engage—but not at Nando. The staff were incredibly patient, encouraging, and accommodating. They took the time to guide us through the menu and kindly challenged me to use my Italian, which made the experience all the more meaningful.
While the prices were slightly higher than I anticipated based on what I’d heard about dining in Italy, it’s completely understandable given Bellagio’s upscale, resort-town vibe. That said, I would gladly pay the same—or more—for the quality of the meal, the warmth of the staff, and the unforgettable experience.
This was my first proper meal in Italy, and because of that (and everything else), it will always hold a special place in my heart. Ten stars for nostalgia, service, and...
Read moreWorst experience of our whole vacation here. The waiter made a mistake in one plate but convinced me to try it anyway, which i did, because we didn't want to make much trouble anyway. And yes, it was good. We were in a good mood and we also ordered desserts. These were quite costly but all of those were labelled to be homemade. Well, we've eaten the worst ice cream ever here, consisting of 3 extremely small balls full of chunks of (water) ice, tasting industrially, and of which 2 colours had the same taste, not as announced (3 flavours) on the menu card. Again, we were in a good mood so we didn't mention it but when presented the rather high bill we were even charged the more expensive mistakenly served plate. When discussing this the before funny waiter turned into a completely different person, not speaking a single word anymore. In conclusion: kitchen from good to fraudulently bad, overpriced, and really bad service... Definitely...
Read moreThis was an unexpected stop in this restaurant. It is set in one of the main stairwells to climb to the top of the town in Bellagio. This was a nice stop for lunch and we managed to get good food. We got a table in the outside of the restaurant next to where pedestrians were walking. The service was not the best and they sometimes did not come to the table when needed but the food definitely made up for it. We ended up getting a pizza and a lobster pasta which was really amazing. The pizza was cooked in a woodoven stove which just adds flavor to the dough. I recommend this place for a drink or a lunch stop. For dinner because of the location it’s not the greatest place to enjoy the scenery but if you like more quiet or secluded dining experience then you can come here. Overall my rating speaks for it self and I though the food was...
