Ristorante Pizzeria Traiano dal 1985 — Restaurant in Benevento

Avoid this place if you can. Came here on a Friday night in Summer. Service was very slow and the food was terrible, which is a very unusual thing in this part of Italy. The waiters were all clueless and seemed to have been hired a couple of weeks ago - they were quick to seat us, but it took easily 20 minutes for them to take our order. 10 minutes later we got served a caprese salad with a mozzarella that wasn’t fresh at all, which again is very rare in Italy. They forgot our bread and took a good 20 minutes to get it to us, and then it was dry. After that it took another 20 minutes for our food to arrive. The chips arrived before my main (they were supposed to arrive with it) and the main, which was a specialty dish from the place, consisted of some of the driest veal meat I have ever had, covered in cheese to disguise the lack of quality of the meat. My partner was served a big portion of swordfish, but it was very overcooked. The final straw was when I saw one of the waiters take our bread when we finished eating (we didn’t have most of it because it was so dry), throw out a couple of pieces, and then take it to another table to a smiling customer. Based on this, I can only recommend you stay away...

Great location for a beautiful view of the Trajan Arch while dining. I’ve dined here a few times and it never disappoints. The waitstaff is very attentive and friendly. The digital menu makes it easy to see all of the delicious choices available. I had the orrechiette with asparagus and the scaloppine di vitello. They were excellent and my waiter recommended a Fiano Riserva from Avellino that perfectly complemented my meal. Definitely a meal...

Esperienza emozionante Persone che devono fare i nonni e non maltrattare i turisti. Cibo stagionato da qualche settimana Locale freddo e poco accogliente manca la base dell' igiene. Conto stratosferico 180 € se hai la carta di credito 150 € in contanti Tre persone che venivano raggirate da un comportamento da falso- proprietario il quale diceva me la vedo io antipasto composto da avanzi, bottiglia sporca di farina e unta brocca con il vino lesionata e il contenuto dopo aver richiesto che qualità di vino ci veniva detto assaggiate che è buono. Tre primi, spacchetti alle vongole morte deprimente non commestibile . Tre pezzi di baccalà fritto freddo che forse è stato riscaldato praticamente ispido. La ciliegina sulla torta che un dei due che stavano con me veniva aggredito verbalmente perché prima di entrare era stato al ristorante difronte a leggere il menù del giorno. Non penso che una persona così possa stare al pubblico ma ha bisogno di un percorso medico e il locale andrebbe chiuso immediatamente . Mi sento male al pensiero di essermi ritrovato in un vero far west tra due locali Mi vergogno di essere beneventano e chiedo scusa ai miei due amici...
