A little disappointed in this place, mainly due to the service, which is quite lacking.
Firstly, the brasserie is truly beautiful all throughout, and very well kept. The location is stunning, as the area is one of the most sought after in Bologna.
The atmosphere is cosy, especially inside, and everything is clean; from the tables to the glasses and plates, everything is spotless.
Their coffee was good, but nothing to write home about. On the other hand, the dolce was amazing! I tried the tenerina which an incredibly kind waiter suggested, and I absolutely loved it! In my opinion, it’s definitely a must-try when you visit this place.
However, the service is where I was disappointed. Despite most of the waiters being friendly, there were two or three who looked quite hostile, which was a huge letdown. Also, the service was extremely slow, despite the restaurant not being full, and especially since it wasn’t a big order (only a water bottle, a coffee and a dolce). When the wait time for a bottle of water is over five minutes, it’s not an ideal scenario. Besides that, the coffee was served without any sugar (which might’ve been just a slip from the waitress, but in a place like this, shouldn’t happen at all).
Still, despite these little mishaps, I did enjoy my time here, as well as their products. I’m not fully inclined to revisit them, even though I’m still curious about their main food items. Because of the lacking service, I have my concerns. All in all, an average spot, which I wouldn’t recommend you go out of your way to try. However, if you’re in the area, it’s worth...
Read moreI asked the waitress if they do aperitivo and got answered yes. I expected that for a 9 euro drink I'd get a bit more other than a pack of chips as an aperitivo. If I wanted more, I'd have to pay for it which is understandable if you want to go for lunch/dinner, not for aperitivo. The prices of the drinks are not really adequate for the quality of the service. The place is cosy and got a lot of potential. Place is...
