We could not have been more dissatisfied...really. About 6 years ago, we spent a marvelous night there so we were naturally looking forward for another visit. What a dissappointment. A minute before opening whole crew was standing in front of the entrance apparenty annoyed about going to work, one of them (probably the chef) either drunk or being after very tough night. After coming in, they looked absolutely disorganized, with no interest of our well-being. We were given the worst table in empty restaurant, next to open door (very chilly night)..The breakeven point occured when I saw "barman" preparing negroni with aperol having support from "manager" instructing him to put aperol into the drink as he had no idea how to prepare it. Genuine Italy indeed. That was the trigger to leave and never come back. We feel sorry for what happened with a great family run restaurant..Our advice is to avoid this place as you can easily find much better places...
Read moreWelcoming and friendly staff. Nice location Tasty seafood
A bit expensive for the quality Quite slow Unpalatable food
We ordered the seafood risotto and had to wait for around over half an hour. Unfortunately, the risotto came too salty and it was impossible to eat (the seafood in the risotto was very tasty though). We didn't even have to call the staff, (seeing our faces I guess 😆) they themselves approached us and checked on the quality of the food, suggesting to replace the risotto by pasta with mussels. We had to wait about 20 minutes for the pasta. Unfortunately, the dish was not very tasty. The problem was not the mussels though, but the pasta itself. Really surprised.
Overall I would say it was a rather disappointing...
Read moreExpensive for mediocre food, the carpaccio chicken antipastio consisted of three slices of chicken on a heap of baby spinach leaves and a fried egg on top, no sauce, no dressing, no seasoning. Squid antipasto was tasty but tiny. Tagliatelle with ragu was over cooked and dry, frittura of fish was almost inedible, batter was thick and dry, fish were also dry and powdery. Not sure why there was battered undercooked sweet potato on the plate either, or a slice of lime, lemon is usually served with fish. Staff were pleasant but uninterested when we responded that the food wasn't good to their questions. Very disappointed, expected better from a restaurant in central Bologna. Plenty of better restaurants around, wish we had carried on...
