After the first waitress (who was in a good mood and very kind) told us to sit anywhere we liked, the second one (not in such a great mood) came and asked us quite aggressively if we had a reservation since we were sitting down. When she realized we didn't speak Italian she seemed quite annoyed but brought us the menu and did not bring the water we asked for for quite a while. She then came back and asked us, half in Italian what we wanted to order. I asked for a dish and before i could even finish the sentence she aggressively interrupted me by saying "I finished." Confused by this answer I started to speak again but she again interrupted me mid sentence to say "I finished". My fiance and I were confused and when he asked her what she means by "I finished", she explained in half English-half Italian that the dish is no longer available. We the told her that we needed more time to review the menu and she rolled her eyes at us and left. She came back very quickly and opened a bottle of water (the one we asked for 20 minutes ago), put it on our table and left without a word.
My fiance and I decided to leave after this because her attitude was inappropriate and it was very difficult to communicate due to the lack of knowledge of English.
Since my first review was obviously not describing the situation in enough detail I am writting a second one that explains the situation better. Meanwhile, the restaurant replied to the first...
Read moreMy wife and I went to this restaurant last Monday evening. I donât normally write reviews for restaurants but in this case I would feel bad if someone went to Bologna and experienced the worst and driest RagĂš alla Bolognese ever created. (Not to mention the hairs in the dish)
We ordered 2 mains and 2 veals. Being starving as we had just travelled I overlooked the hairs and said nothing.
Then when the veals came they tasted awful and the sauce and ham used wasnât fresh. We both took one bite and at this point we had decided to leave.
We requested the bill. And they asked us why we didnât eat it. To be polite we simply said we didnât like it and made a mistake ordering it.
I then expected to maybe get a discount from the bill considering we didnât eat what was served and didnât even touch the salad. Instead we were charged normally with also service charge on top. I paid the bill and left.
Being Italian I care strongly about the image of my countries cuisine. If you are after Italian food and hospitality do...
Read moreVery rude waiter (longer hair, tattoed arms)! We sat down to have a drink and a snack, around 2PM. Waiter was dismissive and arrogant, telling us "No, we are a restaurant, go to a bar!" and turning away from us immediatly. Their terrace looks like a bar, plastic tables, most of the tables not set for dining. The problem is not that we would need to order food but the attitude which was terrible. Note that they were closing in about 45 until dinner time, so we might have had a drink if they were nicer. Waiters tone of voice and body language was angry and arrogant. Such bad customer service and approach to potential customers, unfortunately can be common in Italy. Will not come back...
