Porta 1918 — Restaurant in Cagliari

There was a lot of choice for pizza, also for vegetarians. The employee cutting the pizza for us was patient/explained all the options, was friendly and spoke English. The pizza was presented well and cut into little squares - perfect for sharing. Unfortunately the prices were quite intransparent, so we paid 12 Euros for warmed up pizza that was in parts too hard to bite at the edges (the food wasn't bad, just average). When we went to the cash register to pay, the young woman already looked at us annoyed, and we said in broken Italian we wanted to pay, then she said something we did not understand and we asked in Italian if she spoke English. She said "yes" in Italian and just repeated what she had said before four times, in Italian, as if we're a little slow. So you refuse to speak English, even though you can and expect the entire world to speak Italian or you make them feel inferior? If you dislike foreigners, you should not work in a customer-facing job. We haven't been treated this condescendingly on our...

I love that place! They deserve quite a fame! It looks a bit simple from outside but… They are brave to experiment with unique combinations for pizza and they make it great food experience. I was delighted to go back there twice for awesome pizza bianca, once with pear, then with apples. What a tasty combination! Very kind people, although barely speaking in English they were super helpful and patient. My landlord told me they won some prizes and are well known by locals. The place is a bit behind all tourist spots but it definitely deserves the walk. I hope I will be back....

Parto con il presupposto che il locale è molto bello e buono però un po’ di tempo fa mi recai nel locale per fare un aperitivo, quindi prendiamo 2 spritz e alla cameriera dissi che io ero allergico alle melanzane e hai funghi quindi di non metterne nei pezzettini di pizza che ci doveva portare, aspettiamo arriva tutto e tac su una quindicina di pezzi di pizza 10 avevano melanzane e funghi io posso capire tutto ma se per disgrazia avessi mangiato senza guardare e come accade a tutti visto che uno si fida della cameriera mi avrebbe recato danni alla salute e a prescindere da tutto già che sono allergico e te lo dico nel tagliere o in quello che è non ci dovrebbe neppure stare una cosa con quel alimento visto che esiste la contaminazione, alla fine lo finita a bere lo spritz buonissimo tra l’altro la ragazza molto brava a farlo però avevo mangiato solo 2 pezzettini di pizza con il cavolo mi pare, mi spiace dover pure scegliere questa recensione però bisogna stare attenti per ste cose però per il resto ottimo locale super gentili tutti se non fosse stato per questo problema avrei...
