A day exploring Capri, Italy 🇮🇹🍝🌞 #capriitaly #travelreels Took a long, stair-heavy walk along the Strada Fenicia from Capri to Anacapri, and walked around the town, did the chairlift to Monte Solaro, & got dinner back in Capri at Lo Sfizio! And of course gelato 🍨 (Capri, Capri Italy, Travel Guide, Capri Italy Restaurants, Capri Chair Lift, Anacapri, Sightseeing Capri Italy, Europe Vacation)

I came to Lo Sfizio with my family (5 adults and 1 child) while visiting Capri for an afternoon. We came in via the ferry (from Naples) and hiked up the 1.5km pathway from the port to get here. It was VERY easy to navigate using google maps and the walking path is both paved, beautiful and well kept. It does get steep at times (you also have the option of taking the fernicular / monorail if you don't want to walk it) but we enjoyed getting (very) sweaty during the hike up. The views along the way were spectacular. We loved this restaurant. This is why: -As soon as we walked in (around noon) it was fairly empty and we were immediately greeted and seated. -I love drinking prosecco and they were VERY prompt at taking our drink orders and bringing us really tasty cold wine (that was very inexpensive). -They had bathroom facilities that were very clean so it was great to wash my hands (and my sweaty face). -They speak fluent english. Not every waiter does, but the waiter that helped us was adequately fluent and very helpful. He took his time explaining the menu, the highlights, where the food came from (the calamari was fresh that day, for example). And WOW, it was... -MUST order: the calamari (especially if it's fresh). The pasta. A must. The pizza was great, different from how we're used to it having it served (it was a margherita pizza heavy on the cheese but without sauce. I'm used to it the opposite). Still delish. Pasta is on point. Highly recommend it. -For the area, it was relatively inexpensive. -The location is 'further' than the main drag of restaurants, and we welcomed the less crowded area and the more attentive service. Would I recommend it? YES!

Take a walk up a long hill. Once you get to the top walk a little further and you’ll find this awsome place. All the food is fresh. Calamari, best I have had. The d.o.c pizza, just in general the dough is amazing. It is light fluffy and the sauce and mozzerella with basil on top, you can taste the freshness. Great pizza dough and ingredients make a pizza great. The pacherriee with seafood was my favorite dish. Had a lot of island flavor and did its part. Ending with the dessert: lemon cake. It was smooth not to filling and the interesting part is that the caramel was homemade, it did not have the saltyness like most caramel, which made it even more favorable. Btw there is a mini strawberry. It looks like a strawberry, but it taste different and that is what makes this place unique. Limoncello digestive was just different than any other limoncello I have tasted. Forget all the tourist restaurants in capri. Everyone who visits capri should go outside of the main center to try the local fresh homemade food. A piaccere

I struggle to find the words to describe the incredible experience we had at this lovely restaurant. We stayed at hotel villa Sarah (also amazing) and this place only 5 min walk away. Little did we know what a highlight of our trip this restaurant would become. We loved Capri, it was a magical little place and we stayed for 7 nights (originally was only going to be 1). The first time we ate hear I almost cried the pasta was one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. I had the caprese raveoli and "mamma mia" it was absolutely divine. My partner prefers pizzas and had the cacio e pepe - everything we ate here was AMAZING!!!!! We ended up coming here for dinner almost every night afterwards, and every time they welcomed us so warmly, they remembered our drinks, they remembered us - incredibly kind and fun service, really authentic vibes, we felt like we were locals. It was also always busy, locals and tourists in awe just like us. I can't recommend this place enough. The desserts and lemoncello at the end was just - bellisimo!!! Grazie for the amazing experience and one of the best highlights of our trip...

This restaurant, favored by local residents, is a hidden gem featuring delicious food served with a smile. We learned about it while staying nearby at Hotel Villa Sarah. The outdoor tables are situated along a walkway, like so many places in Capri. Whether one wants seafood, pizza, salad, pasta, risotto or some combination, it can be found and enjoyed here. If you want several courses, or just one, you should be pleased if you like authentic Italian food. In fact, our family enjoyed it so much, we ate there both nights of our stayover. The prices are quite reasonable, perhaps even surprisingly so, as is the case across Italy. There's an excellent selection of wine and after dinner drinks, of course including limoncello and amaro.

One of the servers, named Lucia, helped to provide useful and accurate guidance on our diners' wishes and interests. She had a tremendous sense of humor and commanded attention with her larger-than-life, but kind and engaging personality. If our travels take us back to Capri, we would definitely want to stop here again and recommend it with...
