I had the worst experience in this hotel. The rooms were really nice and artistic however the hotel staff were extremely rude. Starting with the concierge when we arrived we spent some time talking to her to discuss our plans during our stay (i.e dinner/lunch reservations, yacht tours, one day trip to Positano and then back to Capri.. etc.) and everything was agreed upon based on availability with a plan B in place. For the first couple of days during our stay the concierge completely ignored our request & we didnt have any lunch/dinner reservations. Then on the 3rd day by which we were supposed to have a yacht taking us around capri, it was not booked even though i reminded them of our request twice. The yacht was booked last minute during the day with an extremely inflated price with less hours spent due to late booking. After I complained to the hotel GM Oliver. He retaliated and didnt take my concern to heart, his attitude was very shocking during our phone call asking me to have some breakfast before I discuss anything with him in the middle of our discussion. Everything after that phone call fell apart even more. The concierge, front desk, and the house keeping guy that has the night shift were all full of attitude. The breakfast was also extremely bad and smelly (especially the croissant and the eggs) I tried letting things move smoothly since I spent quite a fortune on my suite and for my trip especially since I havent had a vacation for quite a long time.. I had two suites booked, a junior suite and the bigger suite, for one week which in total was very expensive. we requested one hour late checkout after 12pm due to the availability of our scheduled departure at 2:50 however it was declined and they didnt inform me of their decision until 12pm when they called the room asking me to leave immediately without offering me any other room just for the next hour to be ready for my departure. The day before at night I requested from the front desk if they can provide some assistance with packing my bags later at night (since i have a lot of luggage) and they sent me a guy from the housekeeping from the night shift, who was indian and was fluent in english. He was so irritated from the fact that he had to pack my bags and whenever i asked him to do the packing in a certain way he gets offended and starts shouting and yelling. The same guy also when my friend requested some pillows during her stay she mentioned to me that he was extremely rude and threw the pillow on the bed and smashing the door behind him.
All in all i had the worst experience tbh. This is the first time i tend to write a review on the internet since i usually just ignore these kind of situations but this time i decided to share my experience as it was horrible and not to mention the extra charges that i found in my receipt that they removed when i pointed them out saying that it was a mistake. They also added 320 euro’s charge for the packing services which they didnt mention when i requested for the service.

Read moreWhen we arrived at the hotel, my husband, who has a serious knee problem, had to walk from the taxi station in the heat for 10–15 minutes. The path leading to the hotel is uphill, which made it extremely difficult for him. At the front desk I asked if the hotel provides any kind of service for guests with mobility issues or disabilities, and the answer was simply “no.” I mentioned that I had seen elderly guests being transported by electric carts, but was told this service is only available if you present a doctor’s note. We were on vacation , of course we didn’t have such paperwork with us. This should have been communicated in advance, as it’s a major concern for anyone with limited mobility.
The overall service was disappointing. Breakfast was a clear example: we were six people, and it took about 20 minutes for even basic items to arrive. Getting a simple coffee turned into a mission, you had to ask several staff members and then wait another 20 minutes. Many staff members do not speak English well, so orders had to be explained multiple times, often to different people. The food selection at breakfast is also very limited compared to what you would expect at a five-star hotel, especially considering the price of €1,700 per night.
Another example: when I wasn’t feeling well, my husband went to request juice and water with lemon for the room. After 15 minutes he was told they had forgotten. When it finally arrived, it was the wrong juice. I even had to show a photo of the fruit to make myself understood.
And the final straw: I went to the concierge to confirm our dinner reservation at Il Geranio restaurant. The concierge assured me it was confirmed. I specifically asked if the walk was manageable for someone with knee problems, and he told me it was just 10–15 minutes, on a flat road, with no incline. This was completely false. It took us 25 minutes because of my husband’s condition, the road was steep and uphill, and when we finally arrived there was a long staircase leading to the restaurant. On top of that, when we got there, there was no reservation at all. This was beyond frustrating and unacceptable.
On the positive side, the location is good close to shops and restaurants. But if you have any walking difficulties, be aware that the steep incline to reach the hotel is an issue.
Overall, the service feels more like three stars than five, and unfortunately it does not match the price or the expectations. I do not recommend this hotel if you expect...
Read moreThis hotel is ran by crooks. My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night along with friends of ours. We were offered a “turn down” service which is when house keeping comes in and does a room refreshing prior to bedtime. (Sounds great right?) We had arranged to go to dinner at 9p.m so we scheduled the turn down service for that time. This service was also offered to our friends. However, we all forgot until we noticed the room had been entered upon arrival back to the hotel. Immediately we went to check our personal belongings and realized someone stole money from ALL of us. In total 2,400 euros and 1k usd!!! We then contacted management (Stefano) when he entered the room he was very hostile. He seemed upset at us and acted like it was impossible that someone from his hotel could do such a thing. He repeatedly reiterated that we signed a document that informs their guests to lock all personal belongings in a safe. Which yes, that is true; however, at a five star hotel one shouldn’t have to think twice. He also repeatedly stated that this had never ever happened in Capri or at this hotel over the last 10 years. (It gets better) We decide to look at further reviews of this hotel and about a year ago a similar complaint was made with the same scenario! The only solution to this would be to contact the police, create a report, and they investigate, etc. Which is a complete dead end considering we have zero actual proof because the thief wouldn’t be caught on camera exiting the room with money in their hand (I mean really?) however, we still decided to have them contact authorities. Which by the way, big mistake. Because he contacted a police officer he knew BY NAME! In my opinion it seems like they do a lot of inside jobs and everyone including the police are in on it. Everyone seemed offended or like we were falsely accusing them. No one seemed to have empathy. The police also stated that the other scenario that was posted as a review was “investigated” and ruled out to be “untrue” ???? How? ….. The situation was poorly handled on many levels and especially by management (Stefano). His only solution was a refund of our money and for us to leave the hotel. (I mean wow) Sadly, we really did love the hotel itself, it’s absolutely beautiful, and has so many different amenities. Unfortunately, we will not be returning and I don’t think I have to further...
