Super shocked, actually appalled with the service. And MANAGEMENT. OUTRIGHT LIARS. YOUR RESPONSE BELOW IS ABSOLUTELY FALSE AND AS THEY SAY, THE FISH STINKS FROM THE HEAD DOWN. THIS IS HOW A MANAGER RESPONDS? ACCUSING THE CUSTOMER? WERE YOU THERE? I IMMEDIATELY CALLED GIANNI AND YOU, AND EXPRESSED TO YOU HOW I FELT OVER THE PHONE IN A PRIVATE, KIND AND PROFESSIONAL TONE, AND THIS IS HOW YOU RESPOND? IN 'HE SAID, SHE SAID'? IN BUSINESS (OF WHICH I OWN MANY) A CUSTOMER IS VALUED AND LISTENED TO, AND IF THE CUSTOMER FEELS THEY HAVE BEEN WRONGED YOU APOLOGIZE FOR ANY MISUNDERSTANDING AND TRY TO WORKOUT A WIN WIN SOLUTION. WHY WOULD A CUSTOMER FEEL WRONGED? BECAUSE THEY 'CHANGED THEIR MIND'...??? IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY. YOU DON'T ADD INSULT TO INJURY AND ACCUSE WHEN THEY GIVE YOU FEEDBACK. APPALLING. AMATEUR. ZERO PROFESSIONALISM. AGAIN BULLY BEHAVIOR. AND NOW FOR YOUR OUTRIGHT LIES AND LACK OF ABSOLUTE PROFESSIONALISM YOU HAVE LOST THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN MY BUSINESS AND EVERY SINGLE PERSON I KNOW. UNTIL YOUR ESTABLISHMENT APOLOGIZES. SHAME ON YOU. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE OF SERVICE." Original Review: I feel incredibly taken advantage of. I Asked to have a small soup and something very light as it was late, I am very thin, and I was dining by myself. The maitre said 'I have a great option for you, very small, very light". I trusted I was in decent hands...He brought out the biggest and most expensive whole fish on the menu. I said there was no way I could possibly eat all of that!!! I was so exhausted and saw the rude bullying look they gave me when I said that and just left taking the rest of the close to 1 kilo of fish to my hotel room. It's still here in the room, untouched waste of 90 euros!!! Incredibly classless, tasteless, horrible tourist scavenger behavior. Unforgivable! Epitome of abuse of the guest's trust. My family and I will never go to Villa Brunella restaurant or hotel ever again. We'll stick to the many incredible restaurants on the island where guests are treated...

I just returned from 4 days in Capri and, just as I do every time I visit, I booked a table at Terrazza Brunella. Having had previous experience, I knew that to get a table I had to book quite far in advance and so I did just that, but even then a table with a view was impossible. That was fine: I knew the food would be more than worth it. Upon arrival the staff was kind and cordial, and helped me choose dishes based on my desire to choose the dishes with the most local ingredients as possible. And, as I waited for my meal, I was able to appreciate not only the beautiful yet relaxing atmosphere of the restaurant, but that of the view which faced the bay as well. The food was fantastic: you wouldn't think that a simple lemon risotto dish could be quite so flavourful and delicate! But their torta caprese (their renowned chocolate almond cake) was by far the showstopper and the best I've ever had. What I really appreciated as well is the way the staff took care of me: as a destination known for its romantic couples, the restaurant was mostly full of couples but they never let me feel like a fish out of water there. And, unlike in other holidays where I have been made to feel like a second-class citizen for being a solo customer (in particular Greece, where I have never been given a table or lounge chair with a view if I am alone), the staff knew how much I wanted a table with a view and made it possible for me when I returned on my last night. It made me feel really happy and made the evening special and magical for me. Then, when the waiter realised I was struggling to choose between the torta caprese again and the apple cake (the other cake which they pride themselves on), he kindly volunteered to give me a half of each as a dessert! I felt very looked after and I had a wonderful experience. No doubt on my next trip to Capri i will...

Terrazza Brunella is a terrace Restaurant in Capri, the food or wine selection are not the problem the reservation process and service are, this is the first time in Italy were I found myself arguing on a reserved table, considering that I reserved weeks ahead and that was a special occasion they could have done more to accomodate me, but they kept stalling with my request and after all it was a bitter experience, I've been told that the table to me promised by phone call were reserved while it was probably kept only for regular guests, just for the record I was particularly offended cause the table that I asked for was free for all the duration of my dinner. After all the food was decent but not worth the price I was surprise especially with the presentation of the (gnocchi rossi con tartufi di mare 30 € the price) I would say that for that price a proper plating and presentation would be in order, the service was not up to standards. From 1 To 10 Location 8 Food 5 Service 4 Wine list 7 Prices 5 Total vote 5.8 In the end I would not recommend Terrazza Brunella unfortunately I wasn't happy at all about the service or the dinner experience, I would't go there again. To the service guys, when you reserve a table be sure the promise for the request is fulfilled. Explanation for the Photo - tasty Gnocco but just not enough for the price asked, you...

L’Agave’s cuisine and service do not yet match its breathtaking view (although diluted unless you’re seated at one of the 3 tables on the edge of Terrazza Brunella). What bothered me the most: - waiters themselves lament the size of the tables as being too small (they’re not, they just haven’t figured out how to optimize space) - cutlery only came after we were served our pasta dishes - save for the complimentary amouse-bouche, waiters do not introduce the dishes - “Pasta mista con bocconcini di Astice” is a letdown (see picture): about a 100 grams of pasta with a lot of potato cubes and a homeopathic dose of lobster. As much as I deeply hate to waste food, I could only make it through half the portion. When I politely told the waiter that the purpose of such dish was lost on me, he made zero effort to investigate, let alone apologize for it - “Dentice” (white fish) comes served over an excessive bed of humid herbs (unbalanced, see picture) - “Limoncello cheesecake” is pretty much a regular cheesecake, the limoncello taste was too distant - wine list priced at over 4x retail prices - I could not pay with American Express as they said they had a broken POS machine On the bright side: - my wife did enjoy “Paccheri allo Scorfano” and her “Ricciola all’Acqua Pazza” was okay - datterini tomatoes were good
