Loved the concept of the restaurant, so we made reservations to eat here on our last night in Catania. We were excited to try the pizzas based on our experience with a similar concept but very different tasting pizzas in Palermo - Funnaco! The location of the restaurant is incredible - if you sit outside, you can see the San Francisco Cathedral and the Piazza! we were there on a warm evening and it absolutely made sense to sit outside. we ordered vegetarian again- both our pizzas were amazing.. but the fried pizza was hands-down, our kids’ favorite! Check out my pictures to see some of the conscious sustainable practices that the restaurant has adopted. We tried the pizzas on their whole wheat dough. it was a little chewy but not very different from the classic dough. The toppings were incredible and went together really well. We ordered glasses of Sicily wine and lemonade for the kids. We gave the service four stars because while one of our servers was super attentive and available, our actual server was not very good - she was a bit impatient with our questions and did not check in with us even once after the food came. we were given one menu for the table and when we asked for more copies we were directed to the QR code so we could check out the menu on our phones. Definitely worth a visit!

Nice, new and clean place. We were there as a group of 11 people, the service was amazing no problems there at all, staff spoke English, everything was smooth. The problem was the pizza and prices. For 20€ pizza i really expected more. From the 6 pizzas i tried there, I truly liked only one (Quattro pomodori, here i really felt the price matched the pizza), maybe we chose bad topping, but 6 out of 11 is not a luck. I could see that their ingredients and everything was on really high, high level but the end result was just not good enough taste wise. They really tried to experiment too much with their pizza, to an extent it was too much. My pizza was so fatty and stuffy that after 3 pieces I couldn't continue. Girl next to me had so thin and saucy pizza, that the sauce just melted the dough and had to eat it nearly with spoon. One of their pizza had too much bitter eggplant and was too dry. Overall not the best experience. But their potatoes were probably the best chips I ever had, 3 different flavours, home made, truly amazing.

We decided to escape the busiest part of Catania, even though it's only a 3-minute walk from Piazza del Duomo. That day, we were craving a great pizza. A sign caught our eye claiming to have the best pizza in Sicily, even ranking in the top 20 in Italy and top 50 worldwide, if I remember correctly. We dined on the terrace, enjoying the lively atmosphere of a cozy and beautiful square, right at the foot of Via Crociferi. The pizzas are huge, and although the crust is thin, it might be a bit much for a single person. They were absolutely delicious, though. And the service was excellent. One of the waitresses made our experience really enjoyable, checking on us frequently to see if we needed anything and trying to speak Spanish with us, all with a great sense of humor, which we appreciated.

Overrated and disappointing – definitely not the best pizza in town

We were really looking forward to dining here after seeing the impressive 4.8-star rating and the claim that they serve “the best pizza in town.” Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected.

We booked a table for two the day before, but once we arrived, things started going downhill quickly. First of all, there’s no clear food or drink menu, and no one around to guide or help you with ordering. The paper menu we were handed looked like it hadn’t been updated since 2010 — black and white, partially damaged, and confusingly mixed with English and Italian. Honestly, it looked like it had been photocopied dozens of times over the years.

When it came time to order drinks, it got even worse. Instead of having a normal drink menu like any decent restaurant, they expected us to scan a QR code that was barely visible in the corner of the table. After scanning it, we were directed to their website — which had plenty of information about the restaurant itself but absolutely nothing about drinks. It was ridiculous. Why make something so basic so complicated?

I asked the waiter for help, explaining that I couldn’t find the drink list. His response? He laughed it off and rudely insisted that “you have it there.” No effort to assist, no apology — just a dismissive attitude. It felt like we were being mocked for simply wanting a drink menu. That was the last straw.

We ended up leaving without ordering anything. And guess what? Just 10 meters away we found another restaurant with a clean, straightforward menu, friendly staff, and no reservation needed. We were seated immediately and had a great meal.

If you’re hungry, a visitor, or just someone looking for a pleasant dining experience — skip this place. A high rating doesn’t always mean quality or hospitality. This was a waste...

That place is so overrated! 👎👎👎 We were a group of 5 people, and each of us was very disappointed. The staff is very rude and impolite. They don't know any other language than Italian, and it's a challenge to order even water. Even the menu (which is available only online) is only in Italian. Just write somewhere foreign tourists are not welcome and everything will be fine! We will not waste neither our time and mood, nor yours! We had to say to the waiter to bring us water 3 times. In the end, 2 waters were charged, but we got only one. That was the first restaurant here where we were charged for roof, when we were outside. The pizza is nothing speical. The desserts are disaster! We visited so lovely restaurants in Catania and we disliked only this one. Don't waste your time and money here!

EDIT AFTER OWNER RESPONSE: You are so ridiculous, I don't compare your pizza with other parts of the world, but with these in your town. And yes - yours does NOT worth it. I will take care of my review reaching more sites, including your unacceptable ironic response. And yes, the other restaurants don't apply cover charge, when sitting outside! A liar!...
