Poldo Street food — Restaurant in Catania

The hotdog without the bun was exactly what I was looking for and it tastes good! he and his wife do a phenomenal job at creating the service for the community and his restaurant/home. He is very enthused about doing his job and providing service for his customers. BE CAREFUL❗️ The hotdog without the bun is so good you will want another one. 🫶🏾 I told him I wanted to at first because I was hungry. And when he told me that it was pretty long, I said OK let me try one first. I thought I could handle eating too, but I barely finished the second one because I was full before I knew it. 😄 one hotdog and a boat full of fries will be plenty I’m sure. Ho ordinato diverse volte da Poldo a domicilio, e sono andato solo una volta al locale fisico. I panini sono davvero buoni, la carne è molto saporita di grande qualità, gli ingredienti sono ottimi, inoltre il panino ha un ottima consistenza e non si sbriciola. Le patatine hanno lasciato un pò a desiderare erano un pò secche e dure, potrebbero sicuramente migliorare sotto questo aspetto, inoltre erano poche poiché venivano servite in un mini bucket. C'è una grande varietà di panini e piedine, inoltre ci sono anche insalate e roba light. Il locale fisico è molto piccolo, riesce a contenere circa 10 persone, forse anche meno. Fuori ci sono altri posti ma d'inverno o quando piove sono inutilizzabili poiché il freddo fa uno sporco lavoro che contribuisce a raffreddare il panino e rendere scomoda la cena. Il servizio al tavolo viene effettuato dal gestore del locale che è molto disponibile e simpatico. Un consiglio che posso dare è quello di essere meno appiccicoso con la clientela, a qualcuno potrebbe dar fastidio, non è una critica ma ripeto un consiglio.

I prezzi sono accessibilissimi, anzi come rapporto qualità prezzo è davvero ottimo, per 1 euro in più ti fanno il burger più grande ed i prezzi partono da 5 euro per un burger + patatine, assurdo!

Una nota semi-negativa è che i bagni sono in cucina e quindi a volte non sono accessibili.

Riepilogando: sicuramente da migliorare molto il locale e l'aspetto estetico, magari più grande e migliorando i servizi igienici, sicuramente potrebbe avere più clienti in contemporanea, i panini sono buoni e non gli mancherebbero le entrate.

Manca il salto di qualità insomma.

Mi sento di consigliare questo locale, se volete gustarvi un panino a casa ne vale la pena, soprattutto se abitate in zona centro poiché arriverà caldo. Mentre se volete visitare il locale ancora meglio poiche gusterete il panino appena preparato, se non vi da fastidio che il posto sia piccolo o che magari ci sia...

As a foreign student who has lived in Sicily for a year, has visited many places in Italy and has mainly eaten traditional food I can confidently say that this was the best burger I've had to date in Italy.
