Ate there two times because the service we got from the first sever was really good. Nice wine suggestions and good food. The second time was not great at all. Two of us wanted appertizers, two didn’t. They asked us when we would like the meals to be served, so we said that everyone can get their main meal after those with appetisers are done, so we can eat the main together. The mains for the other people came together with the others appertisers. So could not eat main together. They asked if the steak was to be medium, answered yes, came to the table really rare (I don’t really mind how the steak is cooked, but…). When we asked for the bill it came pretty fast, but we wanted to pay with a card, so tried getting the servers attention so we could get a terminal (went smooth the first day), but to no vain. Some left to go by ice cream at another shop, went back and still hadn’t been able to ask for the card machine because the server was no...

Very nice interior, grand surroundings, but the food is very average. We had dinner here, and got the deep fried cod starter to share, and two mains: the seafood ravioli and a tuna tagliatta. The portions were very generous, far too much food for two people, but lacking in terms of quality compared to other places in Cefalu and Sicily in general.
The staff are competent but not overly enthusiastic, I suspect they know the food is not all that... Our waiter wasn't certain about which wines on the list were sicilian and which ones were not. There is a large burger section on the menu, so perhaps we would have had a better experience had we focused on the burgers. I'd recommend this place for an aperitivo, but...
Read moreWe had a fantastic dining experience at Bistrot Duomo, located right on the beautiful square in front of the Duomo. The setting alone is worth a visit—sitting outdoors with the cathedral as a backdrop, surrounded by Sicilian charm and a lively yet peaceful atmosphere, made for a perfect evening. The food was truly delicious and reflected the heart of Sicilian cuisine. We tried the lasagna, pasta with eggplant and salty ricotta, pizza, and even paella—each dish was flavorful, freshly prepared, and perfectly portioned. The pasta dish, in particular, was a standout with the eggplant and ricotta combination offering a rich and authentic taste. To drink, we had a refreshing Limoncello Spritz and a Sicilian Sprite with lemonade—both unique and great complements to the warm evening. Great food, delightful drinks, and a relaxed yet cultural atmosphere make Bistrot Duomo a must-visit if you’re in the area. Highly...
