During a recent visit to Como with friends, we had the pleasure of dining at Brillo Osteria, and it was an experience that left us all thoroughly impressed. From the moment we stepped in, the welcoming ambiance and attentive service set the stage for what was to be a memorable evening.
The highlight of our visit was, without doubt, the food. Each dish was a testament to the chef's prowess, marrying traditional Italian flavors with a modern twist that excited the palate. The pasta dishes were particularly remarkable, offering a perfect al dente texture paired with rich, flavorful sauces that spoke to the restaurant's commitment to quality and authenticity.
Not to be outdone, the wine selection at Brillo Osteria was exceptional. With a range of local and international options, the knowledgeable staff helped us navigate the list to find perfect pairings for our meal, enhancing the overall dining experience.
What made our dinner truly special was the sense of camaraderie and joy shared amongst friends, facilitated by the restaurant's cozy atmosphere and exemplary service. It's rare to find a place that feels both upscale and inviting, but Brillo Osteria manages to strike that perfect balance.

So, basically one of the best places in Como. In fact, that's one of the few remaining places in como where you can still try some genuinely Italian food. And when I say Italian food, I don't mean this Pasta-Pizza-Gelato cuisine which pops up in every American tourist mind. I literally mean the Italian food, the real stuff Italians eat themselves at a restaurant. This is not a place for tourists, though all waiters speak good English. You won't be served here a frozen pizza, or, precooked and packed at a factory, pasta carbonara, at a triple price. The price-quality ratio is basically incredible, you get much more than you are actually paying for. And, even though that's gonna sound racist, the stuff is predominantly Italian (including the kitchen staff, and that's an extra hint on the whole idea of this place: they are not about just making money, they seem to have a philosophy behind the whole idea of the place. Next time you are gonna eat your 15-20 EUR frozen pizza made by a Bangladeshi cook, and drinking the cheapest prosecco from Carrefour with a triple premium on it, take your time, walk an extra 300m from the lake's shore, and...

We went there for dinner around 21:00.
The place has a very friendly staff, and very helpful. Everyone there speaks English.
Very good selection wine, and the wine we had a rosato was very nice.
We started with the potato salad, and a fig salad. The fig salad was amazing with on of the best figs I ever had. The potato salad was very good with a nice vinagrete.
For the food, we got a cacio peppe ao limone risotto. And a pulled rabbit.
The risotto was very creamy, the flavour was amazing, the only thing is the risotto was al dente, although the grains were not even cooked.
The rabbit was good, very well season and tender. Wasn't a big fan of the construction of the dish.
For dessert the tiramisu was goof texture, but almost no flavour of coffee.
We ordered two coffees at the end. But, for the price we paid on the restaurant, offering us a pod capsule café was very disappointing.
In general, place is good. Flavour is on point. Few hits and misses there. But didn't few...
