Place was really pleasant. It looks really small at first, but there is a good size dining room upstairs. The downstairs is a bit more quaint and lights are a bit dimmer. So, a little better atmosphere if you are wanting that. I would suggest making a reservation as it gets busy. The food was good, flavors are downplayed in an old school way, allowing the taste and textures of the food to come through. The meatballs were a good starter, I'd strongly suggest also ordering the Octopus, which was so good. There is also quite a lengthy selection of wines, a few sold by the glass. I would recommend the spot, it made for a great dinner experience. The servers were excellent!!! At no time did we have to wait long for them to come by and order anything extra, or take away empty dishes. If you're from the states, be aware the flavors are different... the cheesecake might not be your cup of tea. It's, again, old school. 1st impression was underwhelming. The entrance a bit difficult to find. It’s down a hallway. Once you find the door you enter into a nice cave like restaurant. The restaurant was pretty empty since they had just opened but there was little ambience, no music through the speakers. It was so underwhelming we almost left but decided to give it a chance. We were seated immediately but there was no bar area either. The tables were farm-like and nothing fancy. No candle lights at the table, and the lighting of the location although pleasant, could have benefited if it was a bit dimmer. The chairs get uncomfortable after about 30 minutes. The food was good, tasted fresh and home made. The prices were very reasonable and the wine selection was good. The service overall was fast but we were among the first there.
