It doesn’t deserve a star in the first place. I was extremely disappointed by this restaurant when I had very high hopes from the outside. Firstly, it’s super confusing to know whether you should wait to be seated or not. Out of politeness we waited anyway just to be sure, when two men, who admittedly were Italian themselves, went straight into the restaurant and sat down at a table. After waiting for a table we finally were shown to a table, menu looked lovely and I was extremely excited to try some of their food! From the moment we walked in we were discriminated for being from a different country, little did they know at the time, I speak Italian. They were muttering about customers who were sat at the restaurant. We were sat waiting forever when we see those two men having their order being taken! We ordered a classic burger and ravioli, the portion was horrifyingly small for the price and my partner was actually still very hungry after eating. The burger was stone cold and extremely pink in the middle. We also asked for tap water which we never received. Once finished we were very unhappy with the experience and had a flight to catch! We had waited for ages and were panicking about missing our flight. In the end, after asking waitresses if we could pay, and those waitresses ignoring us completely, we decided we couldn’t sit around any longer as our flight was very close to departing. When walking over to the bar a waitress pulled us aside and asked if we needed to pay, I expressed my disappointment where they offered my water to be brought to us now, a little late once we had finished and wanted to leave! Whilst speaking to the waitress our original server came over and rolled her eyes whilst very abruptly asking if there was a problem, the waitress briefly explained what we had expressed back to her in Italian, and our original server angrily shouting cursive words (in Italian so not many could understand her) whilst telling the waitress it was our choice to come and we should have even bothered going there if we didn’t like her service! The waitress was shocked by the inappropriate response from her colleague that once she walked away, the waitress, with a card machine in her hand, had extremely widened eyes through such shock of the mannerism she had heard from her colleague and told us she sincerely apologised for that behaviour and that she agreed with us, we still never had any discount or refund for the appalling experience though! Funny that! We actually found out that the server who slated us in Italian was in training and she had many complaints that night. A family behind us were treated extremely rudely over the waitress trying to pretend that they never ordered a drink which they clearly asked for, because she messed up the order and did not want to admit her wrongs. Overall this place was absolutely shocking and would definitely say to stay away at all costs! Eat before you visit the airport or make sure you’re only looking for a snack as there aren’t many restaurants in the airport! I’ve never been treated the way I had, but because they thought we were just tourists who couldn’t understand them, they didn’t care. All I would say is the staff should be more careful with prejudice thoughts as you never know who may understand your foul mouths! Ruined my vacation in Rome and was not a great experience with delays when you have a plane to catch!

We stopped at this place for a light lunch in-between flights. It’s located in a food court, and I must say that we cruised the entire area a couple of times before deciding where to eat, because every place seemed appealing. At the end we decided to go for Beercode because it was the only place offering a wide variety of food “portions-wise”: here you can find a few tapas, small panini, mid-sized focacce, but also hamburgers “American style”. They have a full service dining area and an “outside” bar area. We had plenty of time, so we decided to sit and have just some tapas. We ordered mozzarella di bufala with prosciutto, focaccia with ham, and olive ascolane (fried olives) and accompanied the food with a glass of Prosecco. The food was really good, however I can’t say the same for the service: the waiters were never around and when they were, it was difficult to get their attention. That is why when we stopped here again (on our way back to the US) we decided to eat at their bar area. This time we ordered panini, and they were very good as well. Everything is at very reasonable prices.

Worst service I've had in my life. The waitress wearing the pin "I need sleep" should really get sleep or a new job, she was incredibly rude. Italians served before English speakers despite ordering after. Having coeliac it's not my choice to need gluten free food, yet I was treated like a piece of trash, whatever I said or asked I got barked at. The food was like something you'd get on the plane, came in a box, supposedly to avoid cross contamination. How do restaurants around the world serve gluten free food presented nicely, not something wouldn't even serve your dog. It was underseasoned and undercooked - how you can mess up a microwave meal is beyond me. Avoid this place like the overpriced plague it is.

SO ...

I ordered a cheeseburger meal which is $16 euro I also ordered a few appetisers and beers. Me being starving and wanting to have a good feed. I patiently awaited my main meal.

I get my main , start eating into my cheese burger then look at the meat paddy inside of it. It was not cooked. when I say not cooked, i mean The outside of the paddy was barely put on the pan, barely seared , it was mushy mince not cooked at all. It's NOT a steak, it is mince. Red mushy mince covered with sauce so you don't see what it is .... I called for the waiter, she told me "Oh no its meant to be like this" I grabbed a fork and demonstrated to her how putrid it was, I could see in her eyes that she knew how disgusting it was.... I eat steaks medium rare, I know the difference between safe serving of meat done well and borderline food poisoning... I only paid for my beers.

I think the joke was, the waiters are aware of the food quality , they know you're flying out and who cares, they will probably never see you again. But when you pretend your' Restaurant is offering quality it is purely taking the piss... When literally aware of the dangers of giving someone food knowing it can make them sick it actually negligence. I thought the funniest moment was when the waiter told me to speak with the manager/ chef...

I will put this bluntly:

undercooked beef mince served can become contaminated with a disease-causing organism. If a restaurant is willing to serve you that, they are most likely going to have a dirty kitchen that is riddled with infection and unsafe bacteria due to poor hygiene practices therefore playing Russian roulette with you.

I have never made a complaint regarding food... This is my first.... DO NOT EAT HERE ................................................................................................................ For management: I'm interested for managements feedback as after I had been here I began reading reviews from google review/trip-advisor. There are so many of the same issues being reported by customers, yet no changes have been made. As a business owner and person that also works in healthcare, this issues can easily be rectified, as reading your feedback you seem so apologetic via online, yet the same issues keep arising and being reported. I would be mortified if my business was receiving such negative feedback...

Worst, most unprofessional, horrendous customer service I have ever experienced. Absolutely ruined the end of our trip in Rome. I do not recommend coming here.

There were two tall male workers on shift together. The one with no hair (I did not get his name - I apologise), serving me, made a mistake with his till. I would not have an issue with this, however, he completely flipped and blamed me for the issue, very vocally and in an immature manner. He raised his voice at me, his tone was aggressive, and he was glaring at me well after our transaction was over. While talking with other patrons, while I was eating, and while I was leaving, he was giving me an ugly disgusting look. The second staff laughed and mocked me to my face, was also aggressive and extremely rude, slamming plates down with unnecessary force, laughing in my face at me.

It's highly disappointing to experience service like this. In my late 30's and early 40's I worked in hospitality around Europe so I completely understand how we can have bad days and off-moments - that is human. However, going out of your way to humiliate, shout at, glare at, a customer who is trying their best to be kind and friendly is disgusting behaviour and puts a bad representation on this entire company.

Another nearby family apologised for the staff's behaviour, asking my partner if they were okay after this incident, stating that the staff's behaviour was awful. This disturbance not only ruined my day but also spread to other patrons in the restaurant, impacting their day too.

Please speak to these staff, I am sure they know who they are. Their attitudes...
