This is not at all a good place to eat - stay away
You have to pay before you can pick up food. This is not at all obvious when you walk in. This means you stand in line where the food is for 20 minutes waiting to buy something, only to be sent to the cash register for another 20 minutes and then back to the food stand to wait again. This is insane and can easily be fixed by someone with understanding of organization.
Solution: make people find a table first, have a menu (QR code with website) on the table. Enable ordering and payment then you go pick up the food.
The food is really bad. I love the Italian kitchen. From the smallest corner shop or sidewalk stand you can get divine bakery goods. At Eataly the bread is absolutely abhorrent. We were relatively early so the food should not have gone stale. The bread was barely edible and I had to wash that it down with a Diet Coke which had been impossible to find and pay for just before eating. The Salame was good though.
It’s priced as if it was a Michelin restaurant and delivered lower quality than you get at MacDonalds after midnight.
Sorry Eataly, the customer is generally right and you guys are NEVER right. The sign in your café illustrates your lack of customer care quite well, and with an attitude displayed like this at your café, you have proven you have no...

One of the older female servers, who seems to be in charge of certain tables, was extremely rude and showed discriminatory behavior. She repeatedly emphasized (in Italian) that we must order pasta to sit in her section – even though I had already purchased from this place three times.
When my family of four sat down, my daughter went to the restroom and I placed her bag on the chair temporarily. This server immediately started criticizing me in Italian for putting the bag on the chair. I explained in English why it was there, but she ignored me and continued loudly in Italian, drawing unnecessary attention from the people around.
Please remember, this is an international airport where staff are expected to be professional and respectful to travelers from different countries. If there truly is a strict policy that food must be purchased before sitting in that section, then management should implement it properly – not leave it to one visibly stressed and overzealous server to enforce in such an unpleasant way. This kind of approach seriously damages visitors’ impression of the airport.
Fortunately, the other staff members were polite and...
Read moreThis place is living proof of racism, and discrimination against anyone who has a peice of cloth on their head, aka if you are a muslim. We were exhausted after our flight and we had to wait 6 long hours in an airport snd out gate hadnt been announced yet, so we needed to sit at a cafe, in which we chose eately because it was empty. After we sat down and ordered, we were just kind of staying in our spot and my mom and sister dozed off because we only got one hour of sleep. The woman came up to our table, started knocking the table and told my mom to WAKE UP WAKE UP THIS ISNT A HOTEL, ITS A RESTAURANT. Then, she proceeded to walk away. My mom and i were furious because she was treating my mom incredibly worthless, and we were customers. Not to mention, so many others were also sleeping, and they didnt care at all. After that, the woman came up to us and demanded that we leave, and then threatened to call the police. After that, a man came to us and started shouting at us, while another woman actually phoned the police. They just walked away as we packed up our stuff and walked out. And this is the story of why being a hijabi in italy sucks. 0/10 experience i do...
