Kimbo — Restaurant in Fiumicino

Absolutely disgraceful service. Rude. Hostile. Possibly discriminatory.

At this café in Leonardo da Vinci Airport, I was treated with nothing but contempt. I’m a South Asian woman, and from the moment I stepped up to the counter, I felt unwelcome. The middle-aged woman with black hair making drinks was miserable-looking and snapped at me harshly to go to another till, despite me waiting patiently.

When I queued again, the older man behind the till ignored me for several minutes while chatting and laughing with a customer in Italian — clearly seeing me waiting. When I finally ordered tea, his tone turned cold and dismissive. He then muttered something to his colleagues in Italian, which felt clearly directed at me.

After I returned to the woman to collect my cappuccino, she handed me the worst cappuccino I’ve ever had — tasteless, lukewarm, and nothing like what I ordered. When I politely said it wasn’t hot, she snatched it from me, aggressively poured hot water in, and again made loud remarks about me in Italian.

I felt humiliated, targeted, and disrespected. No apology. No remake. Just open hostility. Whether it was racism or general nastiness, I’ll never know — but no customer should ever be treated this way.

A very cute cafe & bakery offering sandwiches and quick snacks before your flight.

We were here during the morning and wanted to grab some sandwiches for a quick breakfast and this was a great option.

We ordered one classic caprese sandwich (baguette with tomato & mozzarella cheese DOP) and one integral bread filled with cream cheese, bresaola, rocket leaves & parmesan flakes which was amazing and so fresh!!

For the end of the meal we wanted a last sweet taste of Italy so we also ordered a sfogliatella riccia which was so good,...

As our flight was delayed for 3 hours, we spent our spare time using coupons that wizz air gave us. We bought delicious croissants and pizzas here. The saleswoman working helped us a lot with a smiling face. Thanks for everything we felt good here and our stress was gone in their nice...
