The food is not worthy of serving up to a dog!
We stumbled upon this place as it had a clean and fresh appearance but this is about as good as it gets. We ordered two pizzas which took an age to arrive and when they did they were dripping wet and drowning in the water from what we were told was the mozzarella.
We naturally sent this back only for the pizzas to be returned to us with the water drained off the plate!. The manager who brought these pizzas back was very angry and told us that there was nothing wrong with them and he would not make up a fresh order.
At this point we did not want to eat there so we asked for the bill for our water and left. The manager was shouting and screaming which upset my two year old son and this was all in all a very unpleasant experience.
The silver lining is that there are amazing restaurants just around the corner so please avoid this one ...
Read moreThe food was below average, the service was good. We had the Tagliatine Ragu (good), Calzone (not good), Margherita Pizza (not good), and Pasta Roscozzio (good). I would not "write home about it", we chose this place because we were hungry and did not check the reviews prior to sitting at the table. The dough on the pizza and calzone was probably undercooked, which caused upset stomachs a while later. On the good side, the ambiance was nice, we were on a street table. They include in the total bill a 2.50 service charge per person (charge customary in these places) and also tack a 15% tip, which is NOT customary. There are better lunch options a few steps away, don't stop here. By the way, they supposedly open until midnight, I walked by there at 11:15 PM, it was already closed and lights out, which means they probably...
Read moreComplete rip off. The owner should look at the reviews and take note to stop ripping off tourists. This place is located between the museum of David and the chapel in duomo. Hidden cover charge of $2.80 per person and 10% gratuity (WHICH GOES TO THE OWNER AND NOT THE POOR SERVERS). We were inadvertently alerted by an Italian couple next to use that refused to pay by credit card and only paid in cash for what they ordered. The owner makes servers rush to table side with a cc machine so you don't have time to look at your bill. We turned away a server with the owner hovering over them 2x in 2 minutes so we could review bill. Feel bad for the servers . Leave this place and get another job. One positive note was that the bread we had was the best yet in Italy so far. Puplo salad was chewy, tomato...
