Daunbailo' Irish Pub — Restaurant in Florence

I’m a little bit late for the review but this pub deserves the best review. My boyfriend and I went to Florence exactly a year ago. We were looking for a good pub to have a drink in. We actually stumbled across this pub and we are so glad that we did. We just went in, and we could feel how good the atmosphere was there already. Owners, I cannot describe how amazing, friendly and funny they are. They are so open for a chat with every customer and we also had a chance to have a chat with them. There was a newly wed couple (congratulations again guys and I hope you’re doing well!) with their family that came in, and we all just had one big party. The owner allowed me to play some songs for most of the night and everyone just had a great night! My boyfriend and I were suppose to leave around 11 PM but we ended up going at 3 AM because we didn’t want to leave. This is one of the most memorable nights my boyfriend and I had and we recommended this pub to anyone going to Florence. To the owners, thank you so much for being so welcoming and friendly to all of us. We will definitely be back! Best place like home in Florence! I have scoured the area for a nice place to grab a drink that’s casual in Florence and I stumbled upon Daunbailo since it’s near my hotel “Santa Maria Novella”. We walked into this American themed Irish pub. Beckham was the most friendly and welcoming soul we met in Florence! He was so accommodating and kind. He was very patient with us since we don’t speak the language and gave us a detailed description of beer options as well as some honest local opinions on food and restaurants. He made us feel like we were home. Beckham is the owner of the pub which we didn’t realize till later on because we happens to visit this pub 5 times in the 10 days in Florence. The food is also amazing! They make an amazing club sandwich and burger and the fries can’t be beat in Florence! The prices were unbeatable as well for the beer selection and the cocktails. He also nitro spouts all of his taps which makes it so much smoother! I will be back to Florence and will be staying in the same hotel just...

Visited this bar that’s marketed as Irish to experience the atmosphere while watching the Italy Spain game as we were unable to find many places playing it. The description says it’s a sports bar but the game was played with no sound on, when asked they about it said “we have some rules”.

It’s an American styled bar - full of Americans, the walls are covered in American notes and American number plates. The waitress who served us was really nice and offered us the location of a local Italian bar but it should be marketed for what it is.
