After arriving from Bologna on the train, our hotel was a very short walk away from the train station. Our hotel concierge recommended this family run place for lunch. It is located on a quiet street and could be easily missed! We walked in at 1:30. We were the only non-Italians there, no other tourists! Our host/waiter, owner? was lovely. Read moreLa Martinicca ranks somewehre at the top of our dining list on our recent visit to Italy, which this time around focused on Tuscany and Amalfi. We booked a table ahead of time after a friend recommended the restaurant, but on the night we noticed that there were pleanty of available tables so walkins should be ok as well. At the end of the meal we could not find a single fault with the food even if we tried. Everything was exquisitely prepared and bursting with flavour. The interior of the restaurant was quite classic and the service was overall very good. The quality and authenticity of the food is however what sets this place apart. It is simply put a hidden culinary gem in the back streets...
