Nice place. Good food. Honestly i did not try the most significative dishes, because the price looked to high compared to my intentions. Well, the place is nice. The style and the furniture are following the new style of many modern places like Vivo, Eataly, Rossopomodoro, etc., combining the sense of clean, with the simple and country style. Very nice view when you go around the place, because you can see the chefs preparing food in front of you. Everything is exposed but, at same time, repared behind a shop windows. You can also see the enormous barbecue on a side of the restaurant. I had a pizza and one hamburger. Both good. At the entrance, waiters brought a nice flute of white wine, as a welcoming drink. Nice idea. Actually the taste was a little bit without personality. Even if well prepared, closing my eyes i could not say what was the origin of the taste. Even if outside seems like a "simple" pizzeria, inside it is not. Prices are quite high, if you want to pass to the main menu. A first dish is always around 13-14 euros and the second is higher. But it is possible to find your stomach staisfaction without spending too much, anyway. Strategically located inside the mall in Novoli, near to other shops of big chains, it looks a very smart place, corresponding to a modern elegance concept and a valid choice. Ok. It is comprehensible since there are at least 10 people working. The coffee, Kimbo quality, is very good. Bathroom...
Read moreOrdered a Prussian T Bone steak - meat quality excellent. But no flavor.. having steaks all around the world I would expect more flavor and taste, it was not dry aged nor wagyu so there should be some level of seasoning or basting to give it flavor. Not Plain slab of meat that literally just tastes like cooked unseasoned meat.
Service from the host was good but others not so much, not sure why when I’m paying for expensive meal I have to walk up and wait in line to pay the bill wasting few minutes of my time when 99% of fine dining restaurants take your bill at your table, weird.
The host was a gentleman and did what he could to make my experience good.
Spaghetti of course was good but I ordered something that literally cost 11 times more and had worse experience.
Sorry to say chef but you need to do better if you are charging $100 for a steak, as for less than half price I had better steak in Milan & Rome.
I generally don’t leave review but leaving this because I heard fantastic things about this restaurant. If you want context for my review, I’m from Beverly Hills and my home “steakhouse” is Boa Steakhouse & Spago by Wolfgang Puck. Chef if you see this don’t take it personally, take it constructively. You have beautiful meat, but it requires flavor. adding some herbs or garlic to it would make it so, so...
Read moreWhat a wonderful time we had this evening! We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. It was raining so we decided to spend the afternoon at the mini mall just down the street from our hotel. When we came out of a shop it was storming. We decided to go to the second floor to wait out the downpour with an aperol spritz. The waiters were coming out with giant platters of meat which looked delicious. We shared a Napoli pizza. Fabulous! So good that we decided to go back for dinner. We were not disappointed. Our first waiter wasn't fluent enough in English to interpret the menu for us, so he called over the head waiter. Wish we would have asked his name! He recommended an eggplant dish with dollups of basil aioli, tomatoe puree and a frothed Parmigiano cheese sauce. Superb! He chose our wine for us. Head waiter recommend a cheesecake flavored whip cream dessert with chocolate and berries. Divine! After another glass of wonderful house red wine, we reluctantly asked for our check. Head waiter brought us glasses of melonchello. Exquisite! We felt so welcomed and appreciated. Head waiter asked us to please come back again. If ever in Florence you must visit. Take the T2 tram to the San Donato University stop. The mall is right...
