Focacceria San Marco Srl — Restaurant in Florence

My wife and I went to Focacceria San Marco this evening 6 Feb 25 at about 6 pm. We ordered a small slice, a quarter piece of pizza margherita to eat inside the shop before returning to our hotel nearby. I politely asked the sales lady if they served red wine but she was quite rude in her reply. I did not think too much into this. After we had finished eating we paid €7 for the quarter slice of the pizza margherita and left the shop. The sales lady ran after us and told us that we had to pay an additional €5. Luckily a stranger, an Italian gentleman next to us helped with the translation as the sales lady spoke very little English. I told the Italian gentleman that we ate only a small slice, a quarter piece of pizza and we paid €7. I said €7 was already too much to pay for a small slice, why should we pay an additional €5. The Italian gentleman translated it to the sales lady. The sales lady then went back to the shop to check with her supervisor. A few minutes later she emerged and said the supervisor made a mistake. Pugi is a chain bakery that most people know as the cheapest and best place to get a hot and salty piece of schiacciata right out of the oven. It can get super crowded here right after school lets out and beware if you make a habit out of it because you’ll pack on the pounds real fast! I know from experience. But, it is a great place for a snack, the pizza is sold by the slice - although you can order a whole one to go, but I wouldn’t recommend it; usually one piece is enough because it’s very heavy and greasy. Purtroppo trovo solo ora il tempo per scrivere questa recensione, ma ritengo doveroso farlo. Quasi tre mesi fa, il 5 maggio 2023 (ricordo la data perché eravamo appena usciti da una mostra), la mia compagna ha deciso di acquistare un pezzo di schiacciata nel vostro negozio, sedendosi poi al tavolino posto vicino all'entrata per mangiarla, anche perché era molto stanca, ma la commessa ci ha detto subito che stava per chiudere, aggiungendo che "non vorrei essere scortese chiedendovi di uscire prima che abbiate terminato". Io le ho chiesto allora quale fosse l'orario di chiusura, e lei mi ha risposto "le 19,10", cioè l'ora precisa di quel momento. Io l'ho trovato molto strano come orario di chiusura, e infatti, uscendo, ho visto che l'orario indicato sulla porta era le 20,00. Mentre la mia compagna finiva di mangiare il suo pezzo di schiacciata, in piedi davanti al negozio, abbiamo visto entrare diversi clienti che sono stati regolarmente serviti dalla commessa, e alle 19,20, quando siamo andati via, il negozio era ancora aperto ed i clienti continuavano ad entrare. Io sarei voluto rientrare per protestare contro quel comportamento inurbano, ma la mia compagna mi ha chiesto di lasciar perdere, perché non ne valeva la pena. Ora, però, non posso esimermi dal protestare per il trattamento ricevuto. La commessa aveva dichiarato di "non voler essere scortese", ma di fatto è stata MOLTO scortese, perché ci ha costretti ad uscire dal locale mentre questo era ancora in pieno orario di apertura, senza alcun valido motivo. Non ricordo di essere mai stato trattato in quel modo, in precedenza, in nessun locale aperto...
